Arrests:9:36am 600 Blk Edna D.U.IThe call was “a person sleeping in a vehicle”, and Ingleside Officer Winzelberg and Sgt. Kumli responded and found an older Honda with the engine running, its backup lights on, and the ignition keys in his lap. The suspect who had watery eyes and droopy eyelids was removed from the car and placed in handcuffs. The officers found a large knife in one pocket. They also discovered the driver had a $100K warrant for his arrest for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was questioned if he knew where he was and he did not. When asked who was the President of the United States he replied, “Nixon and not Hillary”. The officers searched his car and found a quantity of heroin along with several prescription narcotic pills. He failed a roadside DUI test and was taken to Mission Station where a phlebotomist took a blood sample. He was arrested and transported to the County Jail for booking. Report number: 17020378411:09pm Avalon & London FirearmIngleside Officers Dominguez and Cagney were on routine patrol when the spotted a gold Honda Accord driving at a high rate of speed make a left turn from Mission onto Avalon. The officers fell in behind the Honda and activated their emergency lights and siren. The Honda didn’t yield until several block later at Peru and Valmar Terrace. When the suspect’s car stopped, a passenger quickly exited the vehicle and fled northbound on Peru. The officers broadcast a description of the passenger to other Ingleside units and detained the driver. On the ground near the passenger door were two IPhones. The officers questioned the driver who was operating the Honda with a suspended license. He also had three prior convictions for operating a vehicle without a valid license. A search of the vehicle revealed three plastic baggies containing cocaine and pills. They also found a red ski mask and a black backpack containing a loaded black revolver. But that wasn’t all. They also discovered two more cell phones. The driver was booked for vehicle code violations, possessing a firearm, and possession of narcotics for sale. Report number: 170205354Serious Incidents:3:00pm 1600 Blk. Treat Hot Prowl BurglaryA man at home with his friends heard floors squeaking downstairs and the neighbor’s dogs barking. Later, he and his friends went downstairs and found an open door and found a laptop and bicycles missing from the garage area. They called police and Ingleside Officer Reggi arrived and determined the burglars entered the home through an unlocked front door. Report number: 1702046358:05pm 3500 Blk Cesar Chavez Aggravated AssaultIngleside Officers Garza and Salazar were dispatched to San Francisco General to investigate a stabbing. The victim told the officers that a short time before he was leaving St. Luke’s Hospital after being treated for intoxication when he was approached by several people he knew from the neighborhood. Two of the neighbors swore at him and one of them stabbed him in the stomach with a small knife. The victim then pushed back the suspect and ran westbound on Guerrero where he stopped a woman who called police. Fortunately, the wounds appeared to be superficial and he was released from the hospital after treatment.
