Serious Incidents:

2:16am       Ellsworth & Cortland                Robbery w/gun
A man sitting in his car was suddenly approached by a suspect who unlocked his door and asked “Where’s the money?” At the same time a second suspect opened the passenger door and said, “You got money in your shoes”?  The suspects then proceeded to search the car removing a cell phone, passport, debit cards, wallet, and cash. One of the suspects then punched the victim in the head several times before striking him once in the head with a black semi-automatic weapon. One suspect then turned to an accomplice and said, “This is how you rob somebody”, before all three ran to a waiting Honda which escaped eastbound on Cortland Avenue. The victim, who briefly lost consciousness during the attack, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment. Report number: 170164459

4:45pm       1000 Block Geneva                   Robbery w/knife
A report of a “person with a knife” prompted dispatch to send Ingleside Officers Quinlan and Beltran to Avalon and Paris Streets where they found a robbery victim. He told the officers that earlier he was approached by two men, one with a knife, on the 1000 block of Geneva. One suspect told the victim to surrender his property. The victim refused and ran away with the suspects chasing. The victim decided to drop his backpack during the escape to hopefully stop the suspect’s pursuit. It did and he stopped and called police from the intersection of Paris and Avalon. Report number: 170163661
