Arrests:4:27pm Mission & Rolph Stolen VehicleA Toyota Corolla parked in the bus zone at Mission and Rolph, with Florida license plates, caught the attention of Ingleside Officers Archilla, Malatesta, and Filamor. The officers ran the plates which showed they belonged on a Mitsubishi. The officers detained the driver and passenger while they sought more information on the car. They discovered the Corolla was reported stolen in early December. Inside the vehicle they found the ignition wires pulled out and crossed. The driver was arrested for auto theft and other crimes. His passenger told the officer the suspect picked her up at her home on the 300 block of Winding Way and quickly ran out of gas on Mission in the bus zone. She said she didn’t know the car was stolen. Report number: 161000735Serious Incidents:7:10pm Mission & Crescent TheftA woman lost her cell phone to a thief while riding the Muni. The victim told Ingleside Officers Wise and Vo that she was sitting in the rear of a #49 bus, traveling north on Mission near Crescent, when a fellow passenger suddenly grabbed the phone and sprinted off the bus when it stopped at Crescent. Report number: 1610607519:30pm 1100 Blk. Crescent RobberyAnother woman was the victim of a robbery, this one while walking down the sidewalk. The victim told Ingleside Officers Ortega and McMilton she was walking on the north side of 1000 block of Crescent when she noticed two men walking slowly down the south side of the same block. She said the men appeared to be watching her. As the victim reached the 1100 block, she said the men split up with one cutting her off from the front and the other approaching her from behind. Both suspects grabbed her tote back and the woman began screaming for help. Scared that she might be injured in the struggle, the woman released her hold on the bag and the suspects fled west on Crescent. The loss was keys, wallet, cash, an access card, and other items.
