Colclough, and Elliston that she was walking westbound on Santa Rosa, towards
San Jose, wearing her headphones, when the suspect walked up, punched her in
the mouth with his fist wrapped in a belt, knocking her to the ground. The
suspect grabbed her purse and fled westbound on Santa Rosa. Several witnesses
heard the victim’s screams, saw the assault, and the suspect’s attack. Other
witnesses called police saying the suspect was hiding in the bushes on a
pathway parallel to Highway #280. Ingleside Officers Elliston and Moreno found
the suspect and placed him in custody. They also recovered some of the stolen

Serious Incidents:
6:50pm Crescent &
Moultrie Attempted Robbery
A minor traffic collision ended up with one of the drivers
being threatened by a firearm. The victim told Ingleside Officers Mendiola, Vo,
Labson, Langley, Ahern, Garza, and Trump, that, while driving westbound on
Crescent he collided with a champagne colored Audi A4. The vehicles stopped and
the driver of the Audi got out and claimed the accident was the other drivers
fault. He wouldn’t show any identification or insurance information. When the
first driver attempted to take pictures of the other vehicle the occupants
attempted to block his view. The Audi driver then said “just give me some
money” and I’ll go away. When the first driver refused, the Audi driver asked
for his watch. The Audi driver then reached into his pocket and simulated a
firearm, at which time the first driver just backed away. The Audi driver, and
his passengers, then sped away westbound on Crescent toward Mission. Report

Mission Robbery
A Safeway security officer watched as a man walk into the
store and straight to the liquor aisle. The suspect, grabbed and 18 pack of
beer, then exited the store without paying. The security guard stopped him and
asked him to pay for his purchases. Instead the robber put his hand into his
shirt and asked, “Yes or No”, implying he had a weapon. The security official
told Ingleside Officers Fogarty and Ferronato that he didn’t think he had a
weapon and started struggling with the suspect to keep him from leaving. The
struggle continued for a short time until the struggle was joined by two
colleagues, a man and a woman, who fought with the guard and finally freed the
robber. The trio ran to a waiting SUV which sped away northbound on Mission
Street. The security guard declined medical attention. Report number: 161024917
