Arrests:

2:00pm       200 Blk Cotter                        Assault
A neighbor versus neighbor dispute almost turned deadly. Ingleside Officers Dito and Shih, along with several other units, were dispatched to an address after the report of shots fired into a home. The homeowner showed the officers a bullet hole in a living room wall and a mirror. The victim told the officers he believed the gunshots were fired by a neighbor he was having a dispute with. The officers went to the neighbors address, but there was no answer. Dito and Shih interviewed a witness nearby who confirmed hearing gunshots, but didn’t see a suspect. The officers continued to canvass the neighborhood and dispatch said CSI would be responding soon. The officers left the scene and were back on patrol for about an hour when dispatch again sent them to the same address after a report of additional shots fired. The victim told the officers that he had returned home and was walking in his house when he saw his neighbor leaning out a bathroom window and firing two or three shots at him. The victim hid between the homes and called police. Dito, Shih, and several other units immediately arrived and went to the neighbor’s home where the suspect was arrested for aggravated assault with a firearm. The officers confiscated an air gun and a handgun. Report number: 160844025

4:20pm       Unit Blk Concord                   Narcotics
Ingleside Officers Lustenberger and Archilla were on the lookout for an assault suspect when they spotted a man they had arrested several times before. The suspect, who was on felony probation for theft, was sitting on the front porch of a home. A search of his clothing revealed a significant amount of prescription narcotics. He was arrested for possession of narcotics for sale and probation violation and taken to Ingleside Station. Report number: 160843760
