A curious citizen noticed a strange car, with two men, parked in a neighbor’s driveway. Fearing the occupants were casing homes on his street, the citizen called police and Ingleside Officers Hopkins and MacKenzie responded. The officers ordered the occupants out of the vehicle and then ran a records check, which found both to have considerable felony history involving violent crimes. They also had a significant quantity of marijuana and, even worse for two felons, two firearms hidden under the front seats. Both were taken to Ingleside Station and booked for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and narcotics violations. Report number: 160718276

A couple sitting near a dumpster in a fast food parking lot caught the attention of Ingleside Officer Archilla. The man and woman were not consuming any of the restaurant’s menu, but instead were lighting up a pipe filled with methamphetamine. Officer Archilla walked up to the pair and placed them in custody. Besides the pipe, Archilla located a significant amount of methamphetamine on one of the suspects. The pair, with the help of Ingleside Officer Campos, was transported to Ingleside Station for booking. Report number: 160718602

Serious Incidents:

12:30pm     Bowdoin/Mansell                    Carjacking w/gun
A man’s car was taken by gun point by two armed suspects. The victim told Ingleside Officers Campos and Christ that, shortly before their arrival, he walked out of his home and to his car parked nearby. He opened his car door with his keys and, as he entered his car, two unknown men walked up. One placed what the victim thought was a gun to his side and said, “Don’t move or I’m going to shoot you”. The gunman then ordered the victim to the ground before getting into the victim’s car, along with an accomplice, and speeding away. Report number: 160718210

11:10pm     France/London                       Armed Robbery
Two women walking home thought three men standing in a nearby alley looked suspicious. They were right. Soon after passing the three suspects, the women decided to run the rest of the way home. Unfortunately, the suspects caught up with one of the women, grabbed and shook her, then produced a gun. The suspects took her backpack before running away in an unknown direction. The other victim was able to escape the robbers and called police. The loss was the backpack and contents including a passport, airline ticket, and a significant amount of cash.
