Arrests:

06:24pm     600 Blk San Jose                    Drug Paraphernalia
Officers Travinsky and Nazzal responded to a call of a restraining order violation on the 600 block of San Jose Avenue. An additional Ingleside unit also responded and located the subject in question outside in front of the residence. The officers noticed that he also had an open container of alcohol with him. During the initial encounter the subject kept reaching into his pockets even after being told several times to keep them in plain view. As a precaution, Officer Travinsky conducted a pat search and found a glass pipe in one of his pockets. The glass pipe is commonly used to ingest narcotics. The officers checked the validity of the restraining order and found that it had not yet been served. The subject was served with the restraining order and was cited and released for the paraphernalia and open container. Report Number: 160707097

Serious Incidents:

12:47am     Market/Stanton                      Stolen and Recovered Vehicle
Officers Zhao and Colclough were on routine patrol traveling northbound on Market Street when they noticed a vehicle ahead of them traveling at a high speed. They paced the vehicle and noticed that the driver was travelling at an approximate 50 miles per hour in a posted 35 MPH zone. The officers turned on their lights and siren in an attempt to pull the vehicle over, but the driver ignored their attempts and continued on. After several left and right turns, the driver of the suspect vehicle turned into a cul-de-sac and was now trapped with nowhere to go. Trapped like a rat, the driver then exited the vehicle and ran through a backyard and hopped a fence. The officers set up a perimeter and searched the surrounding area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The officers then contacted the owner of the vehicle, who did not even know her vehicle had been stolen in the first place. Report Number #160704736
