ATTENTION!
There have been reports of a telephone scam going around recently.  An individual will call requesting personal information from you.  DO NOT PROVIDE ANY PERSONAL OR FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE.  Please alert the police by going to your nearest police station or calling the non-emergency dispatch line (553-0123) if you are contacted by any of these individuals.  Thank you.

2:38pm                  600 Blk. La Grande                                         Narcotics
Neighbors called police to report an unknown man and woman inside a parked car smoking drugs. Ingleside officers Burke and Dudley responded and found the couple inside a dark blue Honda. The driver was asked for his license but couldn’t produce the document because he was unlicensed. He was also on probation with a search condition and had an active misdemeanor warrant out of Daly City. He was ordered out of the vehicle and placed in handcuffs. His woman companion was also asked to get out of the vehicle and sit on the curb while the officers searched the car. Inside the glove box officers found 14 baggies of rock cocaine. The woman passenger also had vials of cocaine in her waistband. Both suspects were arrested for possession of cocaine for sale. The male driver was also arrested for the misdemeanor warrant. A homeowner called his neighbor to report a strange man in his backyard. The neighbor called police and Ingleside officers Snadow, Smith, Burke, Dudley, and Tien responded.  They located and arrested the trespasser. The neighbor told the officers that recent criminal activity on the block made her nervous and she was afraid that the strange man in the backyard may be related to a nearby burglary. A man walking on the BART walkway, between Ocean and Geneva streets, was approached from behind by a suspect. The suspect grabbed the victim’s cell after pushing the victim to the ground. The suspect then took off running toward Ocean Avenue with the victim in pursuit. Ingleside officer Adams, who was off duty and driving her personal car, spotted the pursuit and stopped her vehicle to ask the victim if he had been robbed. When the victim responded, “yes”, Officer Adam caught up with the suspect and placed him in custody. Soon thereafter, Ingleside officers Quintero and Archilla arrived and took the suspect to Ingleside Station for booking. Report number 160555062

Ingleside officers Hardy and Tweedy were dispatched to search for a man who stole a bottle of liquor from a store and struck the security guard with his fist when the guard tried to stop his escape. The officers found the suspect sitting inside a bus shelter at Geneva and Mission. The security guard was brought to the location and positively identified the suspect as the thief who struck him. The suspect was taken to Ingleside Station and cited for battery. Report number 160555567

Officers Ferronato and Dito responded to a report of a burglary.  The victim told the officers that she was home with her child in the upper level of the residence.  She said that some of the windows in the front of her home were not locked.  The victim thought she heard the sound of a window being opened and went to investigate.  Not finding anything out of the ordinary, she went back upstairs.  Later, her husband returned home and found the front door unlocked and the lower level of the home in complete disarray.  They discovered several personal items were missing.
