ATTENTION!
There have been reports of a telephone scam going around recently.  An individual will call requesting personal information from you.  DO NOT PROVIDE ANY PERSONAL OR FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE.  Please alert the police by going to your nearest police station or calling the non-emergency dispatch line (553-0123) if you are contacted by any of these individuals.  Thank you.

8:15am                       5000 Blk. Mission                          Terrorist Threats
A man walked into a convenience store and asked to buy a pack of cigarettes. When the clerk asked for identification, the customer said he didn’t have it with him and it was in his car outside. The clerk said he couldn’t sell the cigarettes without ID. The customer walked outside and returned a few minutes later and asked to buy cigarettes again, without an ID. When the clerk again refused to sell him the cigarettes, the suspect jumped over the counter and attempted to steal them. The clerk punched the suspect who dropped the cigarettes. The clerk called police but before Ingleside officers Trujillo and Curry arrived, the suspect threatened to beat up the clerk once the police left. The officers interviewed witnesses and looked at surveillance tape before arresting the suspect for terrorist threats and theft. Report number: 160540342
 
11:25am                    5000 Block Mission                        Terrorist Threats
Three hours after the above incident Curry and Trujillo were dispatched to another incident involving terrorist threats. At this event, a grocery store manager told the officers that a man entered the store and attempted to steal a bottle of liquor. The manager approached the suspect and persuaded him to leave the liquor and exit the store. But, before leaving, the suspect threatened the manager and his family. After leaving the store he took out a knife and stabbed a recycling bin several times. He was arrested and transported to Ingleside Station for booking. Report number: 160540546
 
7:14pm                        4100 Block Mission                            Stolen Vehicle
Ingleside officers Padilla, Archilla, and Seavey were on routine patrol when they spotted a Honda Pilot parked at a gas station that was involved in a dangerous incident the previous day. The officers parked in front of the vehicle and ordered the driver out and placed him in handcuffs. The vehicle was reported stolen from an address in San Ramon. A search of the vehicle turned up burglary tools and paraphernalia used for selling narcotics. The driver didn’t have a license. He did have a significant amount of cash along with Nissan, Toyota,          Chrysler and other automobile key fobs. He was also on probation for vehicle theft. He was transported to Ingleside Station and booked for vehicle theft, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of burglary tools, and probation violation. Report number: 160541572
 
11:14pm                     1700 Block  Alemany                 Aggravated Assault
A couple getting gas were approached by an angry man swinging a pipe. The suspect demanded that the couple open the car doors. When the couple refused the man walked away only to return and reiterate his demands. When the couple again refused to open the car doors, the suspect swung the pipe at the truck striking the left rear license plate. The couple called police and Ingleside officers Dungca and Calupad responded and arrested the suspect who was charged with aggravated assault. Report number: 160542473

6:00pm                       400 Blk. Cayuga                               Arson/Burglary
A woman returned home and saw smoke coming from the garage area. She dialed 911 and fire personnel along with Ingleside officers Jensen, Calupad, Dungca, and other units responded and found the homeowner outside. Fire personnel quickly extinguished the blaze which was confined to a storage area. The woman told the officers that her two dogs are missing and were most likely released by the burglar who entered the home and set the fire. Report number: 160541895
 
10:19pm                      3700 Blk. Mission                                        Robbery
A man walking down the street was suddenly attacked by two suspects who took his property and slashed him with a knife. The victim told Ingleside officers Shih and Dito the two suspects approached him and punched and slashed him while going through his pockets. Shih and Dito called for medical assistance and the victim was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment of his injuries which included lacerations to his stomach and arm. The loss was several hundred dollars. Report number: 160541914

Ingleside officers Wise and Snadow were on routine patrol when they hear multiple gunshots in the area. The officers searched the area and found 30 spent cartridges on the side of a building near a tree line. Report number: 160542097
