ATTENTION!
There have been reports of a telephone scam going around recently.  An individual will call requesting personal information from you.  DO NOT PROVIDE ANY PERSONAL OR FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE.  Please alert the police by going to your nearest police station or calling the non-emergency dispatch line (553-0123) if you are contacted by any of these individuals.  Thank you.

7:43am                           4600 Blk. Mission                                     Robbery
A man who had previously robbed a store reentered the establishment and took three items, a hair dryer, a black box antenna, and a soft drink without paying.  The store manager stopped the suspect at the entrance and demanded the items back. The thief told the manager that he was the “owner” of the store and had just been released from jail. The manager reached for the items which fell on the ground. The thief picked up the items and ran from the store and boarded a southbound Muni bus. The manager called police and Ingleside officers Kumli and Branche arrived to investigate. 3:20pm                        Cesar Chavez & Sanchez         Aggravated Assault
An argument between two employees resulted in one of them being injured. The victim told Police Services Aide Bautista at Ingleside Station that he and the driver of a work truck got into a verbal dispute while driving eastbound on Cesar Chavez Street. The driver ordered the victim out of the truck and the victim complied but before he victim could close the passenger door, the driver started to drive off hitting the victim on the arm with the door and sending him to the ground.  The victim suffered from abrasions to his arm. Later, the driver sent a text to the victim writing, “I saw you get up so obviously you’re okay.” The victim declined PSA Bautista’s offer for medical help. Report number: 160534367
 
3:45pm                         100 Blk. Santa Ynez                                   Robbery
Another victim walked into Ingleside Station telling PSA Bautista that she was a victim of a robbery. The woman told Bautista that she was walking westbound on Santa Ynez when she saw three young women walking toward her eastbound. When the suspects neared the victim, the suspects grabbed her purse from her shoulder and ran away. The victim chased the suspects for several blocks and before giving up the chase. The loss was a cell phone, wallet with identification, debit card, four credit cards, cash, and health insurance cards. The victim complained pain on the right side of her body and bruised right wrist. She refused medical treatment. Report number: 160533820
