3:14am                 Alemany & San Juan                   Recovered Auto
One of the activities sure to snare the attention of a police officer is driving a car without lights at night. That’s what one driver and his passenger were doing while traveling north on Alemany approaching Ocean Avenue. Ingleside officers Sandoval and Zhao spotted the vehicle and quickly performed a felony traffic stop. The registration on the vehicle showed it was reported stolen out of San Francisco and the officers found the vehicle’s ignition was punched out. The driver had a suspended license and a records check revealed that he was wanted on numerous warrants out of San Bruno. An illegal weapon was discovered in the back seat of the stolen car. The driver was transported to Ingleside Station and booked for auto theft, warrants, and other crimes. Report number: 160365770

When the suspect spotted the officers he tried to escape by running up an interior stairway to the upper level. During his chase the suspect threw a duffle bag at officer Quinlan hitting on the head. However that didn’t stop Quinlan’s pursuit and, with the help of officer Siracusa, the suspect was apprehended the suspect on the third level of the home. He was placed in handcuffs.
