Arrests:

3:23pm       800 Blk Amazon                     Resisting Arrest
Ingleside Officers Hopkins and Parker were on Moscow Street towing a vehicle with expired registration when dispatch put out a call of a man with a gun inside Crocker-Amazon Park. Dispatch also broadcast that the suspect may be in a white Infinity with tinted windows. Hopkins and Parker noticed a white Infinity on the 800 block of Amazon that matched the broadcast description. Inside the Infinity were five men, four of whom agreed to exit the vehicle and sit on the sidewalk for questioning. The fifth man refused to leave the vehicle and physically resisted initial attempts to remove him from the car. He was physically removed from the car and placed in handcuffs. A search of the car failed to find any weapons. The man who resisted was cited and released at the scene. Report number: 160345001

7:44pm       700 Blk Moscow                    Warrant Arrest
On this evening Ingleside officers were on alert to possibly additional problems at Crocker-Amazon Park (see above case), when Officers Scott and Hardy noticed a man hanging around the staircase on the south side of the Park, near Prague Street. The officers decided to approach the man to see what he was doing. When the officers approached, the man acted nervous, furtively looking in all directions. He then took off running through the Park with the officers in pursuit. The chase continued until the suspect was finally stopped as he ran through the parking lot near the soccer fields on Geneva Avenue. After a struggle, he was placed in handcuffs. A search of his clothing revealed a lock and chain, used by burglars to brake car windows. He also had a quantity of suspected cocaine along with a pipe to smoke it. A computer check revealed a no bail warrant for his arrest. He was also on active parole for a burglary conviction. He was booked for the warrant, the narcotics, and for resisting arrest at Ingleside Station. Report number: 160345788
