Serious Incidents:

6:56pm       Jarboe/Ellsworth                    Robbery w/Gun
A man and woman driving down the street were the victims of a violent robbery. The two told Ingleside Officers Alday and Tom they were driving down the street approaching the intersection of Jarboe and Ellsworth when two men suddenly jumped out in front of their truck, from between parked cars, and pointed a weapon at them. The driver stopped his truck as one of the men, holding a handgun, opened the driver’s door and shouted, “Give me everything or I’m going to kill you”. The driver tried to turn away from the suspect and shield his face but the suspect struck the victim several times in the face and then removed the driver’s wallet and cell phone from the center console and the truck’s ignition key. The suspect also stole the second occupant’s purse. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction. The male victim was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel. Report number: 160169180

11:50pm     Athens/Avalon                          Firearm
A woman preparing to close her front window blinds noticed two SUV’s one white and one a dark color stopped at the intersection of Avalon and Athens. The white SUV made the turn onto eastbound Avalon and the second SUV followed and then pulled alongside the first. As it pulled alongside, the witness saw the muzzle flash of four or five gunshots from the passenger side window of the passing SUV toward the driver’s side of the white SUV. Both vehicles then sped away. Ingleside Officer’s Stark and Carew, along with several other Ingleside units responded to the scene of the shooting. They found seven 9mm shell casings in the intersection. The officers checked local hospitals for gunshot victims and found none. Early the next morning, the officers were notified by Taraval units that occupants of these same two vehicles may have been involved in a shooting at a San Jose Avenue convenience store. The investigation is continuing.  Report number: 160169679
