Blk Murray Robbery
A man asleep in his car was awakened by a suspect who told him
he was a San Francisco Police officer, although he was not in uniform, and he
wanted to recruit him. The suspect got in the back seat of the car and told the
victim to drive towards St. Mary’s Park. The victim drove about 15 feet and
stopped. The suspect said he wanted to recruit the victim to help him in a
robbery. The victim told the suspect he didn’t want to help him because he had
children. The suspect told the victim to get out of the car and take off all
his clothes and walk into St. Mary’s Park. The victim removed some of this
clothing but then bolted trying to escape. However, the suspect caught up with
him at the entrance to the Park’s gym, saying “You’ve got heart”. The victim
and suspect then went back to the victim’s car with the victim in the driver’s
seat and the suspect in the back. The suspect then took out a silver
semi-automatic weapon and shot the victim in the hand before fleeing on foot
with the victim’s car keys. The victim was transported to the hospital for
treatment of his wound. Report number: 160114072
9:30am 4000 Blk Folsom Hot Prowl Burglary
A woman returned home and, while pulling into her garage,
noticed that several drawers in a downstairs storage were open. She exited her
car and walked through her home and found the suspect standing in a back room
holding a large plastic bag. The suspect asked, “What are you doing here?” The
suspect then pushed the homeowner into a wall and ran from the house. The
victim told Ingleside Officers Burke and Aiello that cash and valuables were
missing from the home of which several rooms had been ransacked. The officers
determined that the suspect pried open the home’s security gate and then kicked
down the front door to gain access to the residence. Report number: 160114969
