Guerrero Vehicle Burglary
A homeowner heard the sound of breaking glass coming from the
street outside. He looked out his front window and saw a strange man reaching
into the broken window of a Nissan parked out front. The witness called police
and the suspect walked a few feet away from the car. Before Ingleside Officers
Dilag and Elizondo arrived the suspect, using a flashlight, went back to the
Nissan and took several other items from the interior. Hearing the sirens of
approaching police vehicles, the suspect then started walking away only to be
stopped by arriving police. In his pockets were several items taken from the
car along with a glass pipe, a small box of crystal meth, and a ceramic spark
plug used to break into vehicles. The suspect was charged with possession of
burglary tools, burglary, and narcotics violations. Report number: 160108821

A woman walked into Ingleside Station and told Police Services
Aid Cato that she was robbed of cash while depositing a check at a bank ATM.
The victim said she was pushed aside before she could finish the transaction.
The woman told the intruder, “Hey, I wasn’t finished”. He ignored her and
withdrew $480 before turning around and running to a waiting vehicle. The bank
cancelled her ATM card and issued a new one and promised to refund her stolen
