St/Mission Aggravated Assault W/Knife Ingleside Officers Glenn and McMilton were responding to a call, when
they were flagged down by a pedestrian. He told officers that he just witnessed
an assault with a knife take place. He offered to help officers locate and
identify the suspect. Officers and the witness canvassed the area and spotted
the suspect. As the officers approached the suspect they saw him drop a knife
onto the pavement. The suspect was detained without incident. With the aid of
the witness, the officers located the male and female victims of the assault.
The victims told officers they were walking home from grocery shopping, when
they spotted the suspect near their doorway. The suspect grabbed the male
victim’s neck from behind and held a knife to his throat. The suspect was
accusing the victim of robbing him at an earlier time. The female victim
fearing for her boyfriend’s life, began
hitting the suspect with the grocery bag in attempt to help free her friend.
The suspect eventually freed the victim and walked away. The female victim
sustained cuts on her hand from the encounter.
A cold show was conducted and both victims identified the subject as the
suspect. The suspect was transported and booked for the assault. Report Number:

Serious Incidents:
12:12pm 5100 Blk Mission Robbery W/Force A male suspect entered a retail store and asked the owner for
a T-shirt. The owner showed him the T-shirts he had on display. The suspect
tried on a t-shirt and walked out the store with no attempt to pay. The owner
followed the suspect outside and told the suspect to pay for the shirt. The
owner told Ingleside Officers Grey and Hopkins, that the suspect pushed him to the ground, which
caused him to hit his head on the hard pavement. The victim can’t recall if he
lost consciousness. The owner lost sight of the suspect as he ran away.
Officers spoke to several witness who stated they observed the suspect punch
the victim causing him to fall down and hit his head. They told officers that
the victim appeared to have lost consciousness. Several officers canvassed the
area and were not able to locate the suspect. Medics responded and the treated
the victim at the scene. However, the victim refused transportation to a
hospital. Later in the day, the victim went to Ingleside station and provided
the officers with surveillance footage of the incident. Report Number:
