The
City and County of San Francisco invites you to join a highly respected police
department and serve the citizens of one of the most beautiful cities in the
country. San Francisco Police Officers perform a wide variety of duties to
promote public safety and security, prevent crime and enforce the law. Police
officers perform a number of essential functions. For example, they patrol
districts to prevent and detect crime; respond to calls for assistance; conduct
criminal investigations; interact with the community to build cooperation and
support; pursue and arrest suspects; enforce traffic and parking laws; write
reports and maintain records; work with superiors, peers, and others as a team;
prepare for and participate in planned events; prepare for court and give
testimony; and fulfill other administrative duties when required. This is much
more than a job; it is an opportunity to build a career of which you can be
proud.

Blk Persia Robbery
A woman walking home from the grocery store was assaulted and
robbed of cash. The victim told Ingleside Officers Archilla, Aslam, Morgante,
and Thompson that a woman walked up to her and asked for a cigarette. The
victim gave the suspect the one in her hand. The woman then said it was the
wrong brand and asked for money to buy a pack of Newport cigarettes. The victim
gave the woman $5. The suspect said “No” she wanted all of her money and
started yelling and putting her body aggressively in front of the woman. The
victim gave the woman suspect $16 and started walking away with the suspect
following yelling obscenities. Ingleside Officers Archilla and Aslam found the
suspect walking nearby on Persia Street and after a brief struggle, managed to
place her in custody. A computer check revealed that she was wanted for
outstanding warrants for theft, violating a restraining order, and shoplifting.
She was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for robbery and for the
outstanding warrants. Report number: 150597165

Blk Geneva D.U.I
Ingleside Officer Chan was dispatched to the 1800 block of
Geneva to investigate a report of an accident involving an older Nissan Maxima
which collided with two other vehicles. When Chan arrived he found the driver
of the Nissan unconscious in the front driver’s seat of a car which had struck
two other vehicles, one of which was parked and unattended. Officer Chan found
that the driver had a strong odor of alcohol. An ambulance was called and the
driver was taken to San Francisco General for treatment of his injuries.
Because he was unconscious Officer Chan was unable to administer any roadside
sobriety tests. But Chan was able to secure a court order allowing a
phlebotomist to draw blood for a blood alcohol test from the unconscious
suspect. He was later booked for driving under the influence. Report number:
