Arrests:

6:20am       Unit Blk Trumbull                     Stolen Vehicle
A car thief’s deep dreams turned into a nightmare after being woken up by Ingleside Officers Trujillo and Curry. The officers were dispatched after a citizen reported two men removing items from a parked Toyota. When the officer’s arrived they found one subject asleep in the front seat and the other suspect not around. The officers ran the plates and discovered the vehicle was earlier reported stolen. The driver was removed from the car and placed in custody. A vehicle inspection turned up a set of “shaved keys” in the ignition. The grateful owner of the vehicle was contacted and arrived on scene to reclaim their property. Report number: 150371226

8:01pm       1500 Blk Geneva                        Robbery w/Knife
Quick work by several Ingleside officers resulted in the arrest of four armed robbers. The victim was sitting in Crocker-Amazon Park when four men approached one of whom demanded the victim’s personal property including his bicycle. To enforce the demand, one of the robbers took out a knife and pointed it at the victim. The victim surrendered his wallet containing a credit card and identification, a cell phone, clothing, backpack, and his bicycle. The suspects ran away out of the park and the victim ran out of the park headed eastbound on Geneva where he met a friend who called police. While walking on Geneva the victim spotted a westbound #8 MUNI bus with his bicycle attached to the front bike rack. The victim notified police of the information and Ingleside Officers Franceschi, Lee, Scott, and Hardy responded and caught up to the bus near Crocker-Amazon Park. When they pulled up behind the MUNI bus they noticed several occupants in the back seat of the bus turn around and stare at the police car. As the officers exited the car and approached the bus, four occupants exited the rear door and started running away in different directions. The four officers, radioed for assistance, and began chasing the suspects. One was apprehended by Officer Franceschi in Crocker-Amazon Park, Officer Scott chased down and arrested another suspect on the 1500 Block of Geneva. Officers Hardy and Hackard ran after and soon apprehended the two other suspects in McLaren Park. Some of the stolen items were recovered from a trail in McLaren Park. Many of the other items, including the cell phone, were discovered in the clothing of one of the suspects. All four were transported to Ingleside Station and booked for armed robbery.
