The
City and County of San Francisco invites you to join a highly respected police
department and serve the citizens of one of the most beautiful cities in the
country. San Francisco Police Officers perform a wide variety of duties to
promote public safety and security, prevent crime and enforce the law. Police
officers perform a number of essential functions. For example, they patrol
districts to prevent and detect crime; respond to calls for assistance; conduct
criminal investigations; interact with the community to build cooperation and
support; pursue and arrest suspects; enforce traffic and parking laws; write
reports and maintain records; work with superiors, peers, and others as a team;
prepare for and participate in planned events; prepare for court and give
testimony; and fulfill other administrative duties when required. This is much
more than a job; it is an opportunity to build a career of which you can be

Blk Monterey Burglary Hot
Prowl
As the victim was watching television in his bedroom, he
heard the doorbell ring twice. The
victim proceeded to the door where he peered through the shutters to see a
suspect standing in his doorway. The
victim did not open the door. After a
few minutes, the suspect went back to an awaiting car that was in the street idling
in front of the house. The victim then
returned to his bedroom but soon returned to the front window to see the
suspicious car leave down the street.
Moments later, the victim heard a banging noise and footsteps coming up his
downstairs garage area. As the suspects
came closer to entering the residence from the garage, the frightened victim saw
the doorknob move and believed the door was about to open. The victim at that point fully activated the
home alarm system. The suspects then turned
and fled back out of the residence as the victim ran upstairs. The victim reported that he saw the two
suspects running alongside his house and out to the street. Officers Tillan and Murrow along with Sgt
Kumli arrived on the scene to investigate the break in and to interview the
victim. A broken window alongside the
garage had been smashed and seems to have been the point of entry and
exit. No property was taken and no one
was injured in the incident. Report

Blk Geneva Robbery
Officers responded to a robbery of a liquor store near
Geneva and Naples. The victim was working
behind the counter when a suspect entered the store and went directly to the
rear of the store and then came back around to the employee counter. The suspect approached the victim holding a
hammer above his head demanding the money from the store’s cash register. The victim shouted and attempted to stop the
suspect by holding his arm and hands, preventing him from hitting her with the
hammer. While the victim and suspect
struggled, the suspect attempted to open the register by slamming his hand on
the register keys. During the tussle,
the suspect dropped the hammer and ended up slapping the victim’s face. After
the second attempt at hitting the register, the suspect successfully opened the
cash drawer stealing less than $100. As
the victim fled on foot he ended up dropping much of the cash to the
floor. The suspect also left the hammer
in the store where CSI seized the evidence for processing. Surveillance cameras were also at the
scene. Medics attended to the victim’s
injuries which were not life threatening.

Blk Calgary Robbery
Walking unsuspecting along Calgary Street, three suspects
passed by the victim. Moments later, the
surprised victim felt the arm of a male suspect grab her from behind and wrap
his arm around her neck while he simultaneously used his other arm to jab a Taser
device into the victim’s right oblique.
The suspect then electrically shocked the victim causing her to fall to
the ground. The suspect then proceeded
to steal the victim’s cell phone from her phone and her backpack. The victim then heard another young male and
female voice both yell “Run!” as all three fled the scene on foot. Officers Billings and Dilag responded to the
robbery call where they interviewed the emotionally distraught victim. Multiple Ingleside units searched the area
for the suspects based on the victim’s descriptions, but with no success.
Surveillance cameras were found in the area.
