The victim of a forged check incident was surprised to find out that his unlicensed contractor was the suspect.  The victim had left his check book in an area of his business that his current employee had access and was unaware that checks had gone missing.  After attempting to make a purchase for his business, the victim was declined service due to insufficient funds.  After investigating through his online account, the victim was able to view and identify the processed checks which were written out and signed by the suspect.  Officers Obot and Espinoza were able to confirm that the suspect forged the check without the victim’s permission.  The suspect was arrested and book at Ingleside Station.  Report Number 150282974

A young 13 year old victim came to Ingleside Station and told Police Service Aide Dugan that she was robbed by two suspects. The victim told PSA Dugan that she was on Nahua Avenue walking home when she was confronted by two unknown suspects. One suspect demanded she give him her phone and backpack. The second suspect stood behind her and firmly placed his hands on her shoulder preventing her from moving. Out of fear for her safety, the victim complied and handed them her phone and backpack. The suspects grabbed the items and ran from the scene headed westbound on Nahua Avenue. Fortunately, the young victim was not harmed in the incident. Report Number: 150285683


11:00pm     100 Blk Valley                        Hot Prowl Burglary
Officer Carrasco responded to what he thought was a cold burglary on the 100 block of Valley Street. Upon arrival, he spoke to the victim/homeowner and realized that the cold burglary was actually a hot prowl burglary. The victim told Officer Carrasco that sometime during the night, between 1100pm and 0800am, someone broke into his garage while he and his family were fast asleep. The victim said he came down to his garage this morning and saw that the roll up door was partially open. He looked around and determined no one was inside, but found that two of his bicycles had been stolen. Officer Carrasco conducted his investigation and determined that the suspect never made it upstairs into the main living quarters. He also scoured the surrounding area and found surveillance cameras in the area. Report Number: 150285382
