Serious Incidents:

12:10am               Geneva/Mission                      Assault
While walking home, a man was assaulted and injured.   The victim said he was approached by a suspect, who verbally intimidated him and asking what he “Claimed”.   Attempting to avoid an altercation, the victim proceeded to walk away from the situation, at which point the suspect threw an unknown object that hit the back of the victim’s head.  The victim suffered a laceration to his head.  Officer Lozano and McCall responded to the scene and searched for the suspect with negative results.  Medics were dispatched to the scene to treat the victim’s head injury.  Report Number 150275565

2:45pm                Geneva/Moscow                     Assault
During an organized baseball game in Crocker Amazon Park, a verbal argument between a player and spectator broke out ending in the player being stabbed off the field after the game.  The suspect, whom the victim and others in attendance knew from previous games as a regular spectator, was also identified as being under the influence at the time of the occurrence.  After a disputed field play, the suspect/spectator confronted and threatened the victim on the field while brandishing a knife.  After being separated by members of both teams with no injury the insults and verbal instigations continued from the stands leading up to a confrontation off the field after the game.  As the victim was leaving the game, the suspect approached and lunged at the victim from behind hitting him in the head then stabbing him. The victim’s girlfriend’s mother was near the scene and attempted to separate the two from the altercation and was herself injured and cut by the suspect’s knife. The victim and the victim’s girlfriend’s mother were taken to SFGH for treatment.  Officers Campos and Bernard responded to the scene at Crocker Amazon Park and later followed up with the victims at SFGH.  Report Number 150277298
