2:30am Sunnydale
& Hahn Robbery
While texting on his commute home on a MUNI bus, the victim
was confronted by two suspects who cornered him into his seat and demanded his
cell phone while the bus proceeded to a stop.
After the victim initially refused, one of the suspects punched the victim
in the mouth as he stole the phone. Both
victims immediately exited the rear doors of the bus and then held the bus
doors shut preventing the victim from pursing them. Both suspects fled on foot. The victim came into Ingleside Police Station
to file the report. The victim suffered
a cut lip and the phone was not recovered.

12:55pm Ocean
& Alemany Assault
While unloading and restocking supplies in the rear parking
lot of his family’s restaurant, the victim witnessed an unknown suspect break the
rear window of a parked car. Immediately, the victim ran and approached
the suspect as he fled the scene. As the
victim attempted to detain the suspect by grabbing his neck collar, the suspect
turned and punched the victim in the nose.
Able to initially escape, the suspect ran to an awaiting vehicle outside
the parking lot, but was stopped as the victim caught up and attempted to pull
him from the passenger’s seat. During
the alteration, a second suspect came out from the rear seat of the vehicle and
proceeded to punch and scratch the victim in an attempt to free her partner in
crime. Hearing the commotion outside of
his restaurant, the owner of the business came out to see the altercation and
assist the victim in removing the suspect from the car. The third suspect, the driver of the getaway
car, then panicked and pressed the accelerator fleeing from the scene while the
second victim was still holding the window frame of the car. The momentum of the vehicle caused the second
victim to fall to the ground and roll several feet into the street. All three suspects were able to escape. No property was stolen from the victim’s
vehicle parked in the parking lot. Both
victims suffered minor injuries and were treated by SFFD medics called to the
scene. Officer Suguitan and Sabella responded to the call. Both officers canvassed the area for the
suspect’s vehicle with negative results.
Surveillance camera footage taken from the victim’s restaurant was
present and being reviewed. Report

Blk Murray Burglary Hot Prowl
A burglar gained access to the victim’s residence while she
was home through breaking and forcing open the side garage door. At the time, the victim was in the lower
level of the house and heard the suspect breaking the door. After calling out to see if anyone would
respond, the victim then witnessed the suspect enter in the doorway for only a
moment, before he quickly disappeared.
The victim immediately ran and hid in her bedroom out of fear for her
safety. After calling 911 and other
members of her family who also lived at the residency, police and family
arrived to find both units, upstairs and downstairs, ransacked but with only an
iPad missing. Officer Obot responded to the call and interviewed the
victims. CSI responded to the
scene. No one was injured in the
