 12:18am    300 Blk Mangels                     Burglary
Two alert neighbors helped police catch an auto burglar. The witness’ mother saw someone tampering with a car in front of their home. She told her son who called police while he watched the man rummaging through the contents inside a late model Acura. Ingleside Officers Hermosura and Bernal arrived on scene and apprehended the suspect only a few doors away from the burglary scene. Inside a bag they found clothing and other contents stolen from the car. The vehicle owner confirmed to police that he left those items in his car with the door locked earlier that evening. The suspect was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for burglary. Report number 150090523

Ingleside Officers Lucia and Hackard were on routine patrol when they spotted a vehicle with illegally tinted windows driving up Naples Street. The officers stopped the car and the four occupants rolled down their windows releasing the strong odor of marijuana into the environment. None of the occupants had medical marijuana cards. All the occupants were removed from the car and one of them had a black vinyl pouch containing packets of cocaine for sale. He also had an unregistered .45 caliber handgun in his waistband. He was taken to Ingleside Station and booked on weapons and narcotics violations. The other three occupants were released. Report number: 150093301

A robber approached a man walking on Brazil Street and produced a gun and asked for his valuables. The victim told Ingleside Officers Alday, Imsend, Ferronato, Kikuchi, Naser, Bernal, Defillippo, and Quema that when he saw the handgun he dropped down onto the sidewalk and remained still while the robber rifled through his pants and took his wallet. The suspect then ran back to a waiting vehicle that sped away. The loss was bank cards, driver’s license, and over $100 in cash. Report number: 150093298
