Blk Mission Shots Fired/Gambling
Officer Wells was on patrol when he was dispatched to a
report of gun shots. Several other
officers also responded. Upon arrival,
Officer Wells discovered a window of a cell phone store with a large hole in it
consistent with a bullet hole. Officer
Wells made contact with a subject, who was detained in front of the store. The victim told Officer Wells that he had
been inside the establishment when two suspects entered and demanded money from
him. The victim said he handed over some
money to the two suspects and that they left.
The victim then retreated to the rear of the store with several other
patrons, where he suddenly heard gun shots, so he called 911. The subject told Officer Wells that he was
the owner of the store, which officers later discovered was an illegal gambling
establishment. The subject was taken
into custody. Several other suspects
were detained and two more were subsequently booked on drug related
charges. Report 150106001
