The Daly City officers, while preparing to conduct a search of a residence, noticed an older Black Mercedes pull up in front of the home. One of the three occupants of the Mercedes after exiting the vehicle with a black satchel, walked up to the front door of the home and was ready to enter when the Daly City search team started their entrance to the home. The suspect dropped the satchel and attempted to run away only to be detained by the Daly City officers who called San Francisco Police for assistance. Ingleside Officers Quintero and Lustenberger arrived within in minutes and placed the suspect in handcuffs after discovering that the satchel contained a .22 caliber firearm, several magazines and ammunition. The suspect gave conflicting information about how he came into possession of the unregistered firearm. A computer check revealed he was wanted on a misdemeanor San Francisco warrant. A search of two residences where he occasionally stayed turned up significantly more ammunition. The suspect was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for the outstanding warrant and for illegal possession of a concealed weapon.
