9:35am Crescent/Leese Attempted
Armed Robbery
A woman walking down the street was suddenly confronted by a
man holding a gun in one hand and a taser in the other. The suspect then said
something in English which the foreign born citizen/victim didn’t understand.
The suspect then pointed the handgun directly at the victim’s chest while, at
the same time, touching her chest with the taser. The victim felt the
electrical shock but did not lose consciousness or fall. Instead the victim ran
into the street and flagged down a passing vehicle. The suspect turned and ran
to a waiting getaway car and escaped northbound on Leese Street. Report number:

2:40pm Cayuga/Onondaga Aggravated
Assault
A man crossing the intersection with a group of students
suddenly observed a potentially tragic event. He told Ingleside Officers
Archilla and Espinosa that when the students reached the southeast corner of
the intersection, a passenger, in a vehicle stopped at the intersection, rolled
down his window and stuck a semi-automatic weapon out the window pointing at
the students. The students, seeing the gun, quickly scattered for safety as the
suspect’s vehicle drove off. Ingleside Officers Archilla and Espinosa arrived
and searched for the suspect and students without success. Report number:
150166629Ingleside Officers Suguitan and Ha were flagged down by the resident of a nearby home who said he was the victim of a hot prowl burglary. He told the officers that he was sleeping when he woke up to find an unknown woman standing in his room. He asked her what she was doing in his room and the woman answered,”I’m looking for the bathroom”. The victim then said he was calling the police if she didn’t leave. She did, but not before snatching his cell phone and throwing it into the hallway. Suguitan and Ha searched the home and were unable to determine how she entered the home. Report number: 150166704
4:08pm Blythdale/Santos Reckless Driving
Ingleside Sgt. Martin was on routine patrol when a motorist
decided to put pedestrians, other motorists, and bicyclists in grave danger. As
Sgt. Martin approached the Blythdale and Santos intersection, the Camaro in
front of him suddenly accelerated and made a wide left turn onto Blythdale
narrowly missing several pedestrians and juvenile bicyclists. After making the
left turn the Camaro almost rear ended a vehicle stopped in front of it. Sgt.
Martin then heard the Camaro’s engine rev up before it took off westbound on
Blythdale fish tailing down the wrong side of the street and sending clouds of
black and white smoke through the neighborhood. Sgt. Martin activated his
emergency lights and sirens and pulled the driver over in a nearby parking lot.
Sgt. Martin asked the driver if he was aware of how much danger he was putting
pedestrians, bicyclists and other motorist in. The driver replied that he was a
celebrity and that “he knows all the kids up here”. The driver then asked Sgt.
Martin not to cite him because he was on parole and was turning himself in to
Alameda County authorities the next day for a parole violation. The Sgt.
declined and issued him a citation for reckless driving. Report number:

three parked cars sitting in his vehicle. But he wasn’t finished with his rampage.
He proceeded to back up and hit one the parked cars a couple of more times
before exiting his vehicle and attempting an escape by staggering away down the
street. Fortunately in his state of inebriation he was unable to get very far
before Ingleside Officers Imsand and Siracusa caught up and detained him. He

Ingleside Officers Archilla and Espinosa, while on routine
patrol, spotted a car with one working headlight. The officers pulled the
vehicle over and asked the driver for his license, insurance, and registration.
The driver said he had an ID card but not license. A records check revealed his
license was suspended in 2010 and he was on probation for possession of marijuana
for sale out of Santa Clara County. A search of his car turned up a significant
amount of marijuana packaged for sale. He was arrested for the narcotics,
vehicle code, and probation violations. Report number: 150161425

10:07 am Delano/Geneva
Attempted Robbery
Ingleside Officers Conefrey and O’Leary were dispatched to
investigate an attempted robbery and when they arrived, they found the victim
lying in an ambulance, crying and shaking, with bleeding abrasions on her
knees. She told the officers that she was walking westbound on Geneva and had
just crossed the intersection of Cayuga when a man approached her and said, “Excuse
me”. She didn’t recognize him so she kept walking and as she crossed Delano,
she saw the same man exit a red Toyota sedan and run up to her. He grabbed her
purse so violently, that she was pulled to the ground. When she refused to
relinquish her property, she was dragged down the street and flung from side to
side like a rag doll all the while screaming for help. The suspect finally gave
up and got back into the Toyota sedan which sped away toward the freeway.

A fist fight on a MUNI bus prompted dispatch to send
Ingleside Officers Williams and Vong to investigate. When the officers arrived
they found one combatant on the bus and another on the sidewalk walking away
from the bus. The victim, who had injuries to his nose, told the officers he
was sitting in the bus when the suspect boarded the vehicle through the back
door without paying his fare. The suspect then walked up to the victim and
demanded he give up his seat. When the victim refused, the suspect struck him
with a liquor bottle. The victim fought back and the suspect exited the bus
shortly before police arrived. The suspect was arrested for aggravated assault
and two outstanding warrants. Both he and the victim were treated by medical
personnel at the scene. Report number: 150158080

Incident Date:Thursday, February 19th, 2015The next community meeting at Ingleside Station will be held on March 17, 2015 at 7p.m. Thank you.Arrests:3:36am 4100 Blk Mission Stolen AutoIngleside officers are instructed to keep a close watch on addresses where known illegal activity has occurred in the past. On this day, Officers Lustenberger, Quintero, along with Sgt. Alvarez were keeping an eye on an address where illegal gambling occurs and where satellite crimes related to gambling have spawned numerous arrests. As the officers drove by they recognized a man who had been arrested several times before for auto theft. When the officers slowed down the suspect threw a red and black object into the street between two parked cars. Lustenberger and Quintero quickly exited their patrol car and approached the man who was about to enter the building. The suspect denied throwing anything in the street but nearby surveillance video clearly showed him parking then exiting a brand new 2015 Mustang and then throwing what turned out to be car keys in the street between two other parked vehicles. The officers retrieved the keys and used the remote to unlock the Mustang which turned out to be stolen. The suspect was arrested and charged with auto theft and possession of narcotics, methamphetamine, which was found in his clothing. Report number: 15015406611:19 pm Delta/Campbell Concealed WeaponA vehicle with its license plates covered by paper caught the understandable attention of Ingleside Officers Lucia and Hackard. The officers turned on their emergency equipment and pulled the driver over near the intersection of Delta and Campbell. When the officers asked the driver for license, insurance, and registration he started reaching down the underside of his right thigh. Officer Hackard, fearing for his safety, removed the driver from the car and placed him in handcuffs. A search of his pockets revealed an illegal doubled bladed “butterfly” knife along with a significant stash of prescription narcotics. A computer check revealed he was unlicensed and had a “No bail” warrant for his arrest for auto theft. In the back seat of the car were several tools used to break into vehicles. The suspect was charged with several felonies. Report number: 150155321Serious Incidents:1:37pm Unit Blk Baywood Hot Prowl BurglaryA man and woman were downstairs at their home when they heard a loud “bang” coming from upstairs. The man decided to go upstairs to investigate and when he did he heard two sets of footsteps walking through the home. He was wary because no one was supposed to be upstairs at that hour. Upstairs he discovered his grand daughter’s bedroom ransacked. He also found the front gate and door damaged and open. When he went to his bedroom he discovered several drawers open and empty and several thousand dollars missing from a hiding place. Ingleside Officer Lim responded and investigated the burglary. He found pry marks around the front door and gate and determined that was the entry and exit point for the burglars. He also discovered clothing taken from the grand daughter’s bedroom outside the home. The Ingleside Station Investigative Team and the department’s CSI are continuing the investigation.
