9:35am Crescent/Leese Attempted
Armed Robbery
A woman walking down the street was suddenly confronted by a
man holding a gun in one hand and a taser in the other. The suspect then said
something in English which the foreign born citizen/victim didn’t understand.
The suspect then pointed the handgun directly at the victim’s chest while, at
the same time, touching her chest with the taser. The victim felt the
electrical shock but did not lose consciousness or fall. Instead the victim ran
into the street and flagged down a passing vehicle. The suspect turned and ran
to a waiting getaway car and escaped northbound on Leese Street. Report number:

2:40pm Cayuga/Onondaga Aggravated
Assault
A man crossing the intersection with a group of students
suddenly observed a potentially tragic event. He told Ingleside Officers
Archilla and Espinosa that when the students reached the southeast corner of
the intersection, a passenger, in a vehicle stopped at the intersection, rolled
down his window and stuck a semi-automatic weapon out the window pointing at
the students. The students, seeing the gun, quickly scattered for safety as the
suspect’s vehicle drove off. Ingleside Officers Archilla and Espinosa arrived
and searched for the suspect and students without success. Report number:
150166629Ingleside Officers Suguitan and Ha were flagged down by the resident of a nearby home who said he was the victim of a hot prowl burglary. He told the officers that he was sleeping when he woke up to find an unknown woman standing in his room. He asked her what she was doing in his room and the woman answered,”I’m looking for the bathroom”. The victim then said he was calling the police if she didn’t leave. She did, but not before snatching his cell phone and throwing it into the hallway. Suguitan and Ha searched the home and were unable to determine how she entered the home. Report number: 150166704
4:08pm Blythdale/Santos Reckless Driving
Ingleside Sgt. Martin was on routine patrol when a motorist
decided to put pedestrians, other motorists, and bicyclists in grave danger. As
Sgt. Martin approached the Blythdale and Santos intersection, the Camaro in
front of him suddenly accelerated and made a wide left turn onto Blythdale
narrowly missing several pedestrians and juvenile bicyclists. After making the
left turn the Camaro almost rear ended a vehicle stopped in front of it. Sgt.
Martin then heard the Camaro’s engine rev up before it took off westbound on
Blythdale fish tailing down the wrong side of the street and sending clouds of
black and white smoke through the neighborhood. Sgt. Martin activated his
emergency lights and sirens and pulled the driver over in a nearby parking lot.
Sgt. Martin asked the driver if he was aware of how much danger he was putting
pedestrians, bicyclists and other motorist in. The driver replied that he was a
celebrity and that “he knows all the kids up here”. The driver then asked Sgt.
Martin not to cite him because he was on parole and was turning himself in to
Alameda County authorities the next day for a parole violation. The Sgt.
declined and issued him a citation for reckless driving. Report number:
