Officers Obot and Johnson went to a call of a stabbing on the 100 block of Brookdale Avenue. When they arrived, they found the victim standing outside in front of a residence with no shirt on and applying pressure against what appeared to be a puncture wound. The victim stated the incident occurred mid-block of Brookdale Avenue. Officer Suguitan and his partner, Officer Fung, went to that location and were able to determine that the other subject involved in the fight was the victim’s step father. The victim went to visit his mother at her residence. Once inside a heated verbal argument erupted between the victim and the suspect, which turned physical. During the altercation the suspect stabbed the victim twice in the stomach with a box cutter and left the scene in his vehicle.
