Arrests:

12:02pm     Unit blk Cortland            Drug Arrest
Officers Lim and Archilla were on routine patrol when they came to a stop at a Red light at the intersection of San Jose and Randall Street. Directly in front of them was a Black Nissan Pathfinder that was also stopped at the same Red light. Officer Lim knew that no right turns are allowed against a Red light onto Randall Street from San Jose Avenue.  A no right turn on Red sign is clearly posted for all northbound drivers to see. The driver of the Black Nissan disregarded the sign and proceeded to make the right turn against the Red light. Officer Lim and Archilla followed the vehicle and effected a traffic stop. They made contact with the driver and requested his driver’s license. The driver informed Officer Lim that he had no California driver’s license issued to him and could not provide any other form of identification. A computer check revealed that the driver never had a California driver’s license issued in his name. The driver was then taken out of the vehicle and placed in handcuffs. Officer Lim asked the driver if he had any weapons or drugs. The driver replied and stated he had no weapons but had drugs in his pants pocket. Officer Archilla retrieved a folded One dollar bill containing the suspected cocaine. The driver was then transported Ingleside station and ultimately booked on the moving violations and possession of drugs. Report number 120786495

The officer arrived and met with the loss prevention officer who witnessed the suspect come into the store and take some dog shampoo and a case of beer. The suspect passed all the check stands and made no attempt to pay for his newly acquired items. The loss prevention officer and his partner stopped the suspect just outside the store and took him in custody and retrieved the items. The suspect was arrested, transported to Ingleside station, where he was identified, cited for the petty theft, and released. Report number 120787120

1:58pm       100 blk Ripley              Theft
The victim called the police to report a theft. Officers Kabanuck and Castillo arrived and spoke with the victim, who stated he checked his E-mail looking to see whether or not a package he had ordered had been delivered. The victim received a response informing him that the package had in fact been delivered to his address. The victim then contacted the delivery company inquiring about the package. He was told that the driver delivered the package earlier in the day and placed it over the locked gate. The victim advised the Officers that because of an on-going dispute with his neighbor, he had installed security cameras outside his residence. The Officers viewed the recorded footage and observed the same neighbor come out to retrieve the box and went back into his residence. The Officers then made contact with the neighbor and questioned him about the package. The neighbor admitted to taking the box because he feared someone would steal the package. The neighbor then gave the package back to the officers, but they noticed that the package had been opened and re-taped. The victim expressed his concern and requested to sign a citizen’s arrest against his neighbor. The neighbor was subsequently cited for petty theft and released at the scene. She stated that during the argument, her roommate went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and approached her in a threatening manner stating he was going to kill her. The victim’s husband heard what was occurring and came out of their bedroom. The suspect turned around and walked away putting the knife back down on the kitchen table. The victim advised the Officers that the suspect threatened her with a knife just days ago but did not call the police. Serious  Incidents:

9:00am       3200 blk Mission           Theft
Officers Kabanuck and Castillo responded to a call of a theft on the 3200 block of Mission Street. Officer Castillo met with the victim, who was hired as a contractor to do work on the building. The victim advised, prior to beginning the construction, he and his crew put up scaffolding in front of the two stories building on 09/20/2012. He then arrived on today’s date to begin work and immediately saw that the scaffolding was missing. The victim spoke to one of the residents in the building, who told him three men were loading metal into the back of a White pick-up truck. Officer Castillo then spoke to the resident who stated she observed three men loading up the scaffolding into the back of a White older model truck. The resident believed that the victim/owner was involved and that the work had begun, therefore did not think anything was suspicious. 1:27pm       3300 blk Folsom           Robbery

She observed the suspect running from Ripley Street headed towards her. As he got close he mumbled something to her. The victim could not hear what was being said, so she took her earphones off and held her phone and earphones in her right hand. The suspect then stated “Give me your purse” while holding a razor blade type cutter in her direction. The suspect then swung the weapon causing the victim to jump back. The victim feared for her safety and turned around to run away. While running away she accidently dropped her cell phone and earphones. The suspect picked up the items and ran away headed in the opposite direction. While Officer Thompson was conducting his interview, a neighbor approached him and advised him that his surveillance cameras recorded the whole incident.
