Captain’s Message:
Crime Stats
Today I received our most recent crime statistics for the Ingleside District. I am happy to report that for the last 28-day calendar period (May 13 to June 9), when compared to the previous 28-day period, ALL violent crime decreased. We experienced no homicides, no sexual assaults, a 14% decrease in robbery and a 48% decrease in aggravated assault. Furthermore, when compared to this time last year, we have decreased crime by 9%.
Property crime (Burglaries from homes and cars, auto theft and other miscellaneous theft) also decreased in all categories by a total of 44% for the same time period.
Finally, our officers increased their robbery arrests by an outstanding 114% and auto theft arrests by 133%!
It appears that our education campaign on preventative crime, as well as our aggressive approach to current crime trends is showing success.
