Arrests:

12:33pm     200 Blk Hyde                Narcotics
Officer Burke and several other Ingleside officers were assisting in a citywide operation in an area known for narcotics trafficking.  They observed several individual selling items without permits.  They detained the individuals and asked if any of them were on probation or parole.  One of the individuals admitted he was on active probation, and a computer check confirmed this.  A probation search of the individual located plastic bags with hypodermic needles, as well as a white powdery substance believed to be heroin or cocaine powder.  The individual was placed under arrest.  A warrant check of the individual returned positive with active warrants.  The warrants were confirmed and the individual was booked at the county jail.  The officers took pictures of the paraphernalia and narcotics they located.  All evidence was booked at Ingleside station.  A presumptive test of the narcotics returned positive for heroin and the narcotics were hand delivered to the Narcotics Drop Box at the Hall of Justice.  Report Number 120267934

1:08pm       Hyde/Turk                    Narcotics
Officer Padilla and several other Ingleside officers were assisting in a citywide operation when they made a consensual encounter with a male who was loitering on a street known for narcotics trafficking.  A warrant check of the individual returned positive with an active no bail warrant.  An arrest search located a plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance, which was later determined to be white heroin.  The officers also located syringes, narcotic pills and glass pipes.  The warrant was confirmed, and the individual was booked at the county jail.  All evidence was booked at Ingleside station and the narcotics were hand delivered to the Narcotics Drop Box at the Hall of Justice.  Report Number 120268045

1:14pm       100 Blk Hyde                Warrant
Officer Seavey and several other Ingleside officers were assisting in a citywide operation when a male crossed the street against a red signal light.  They detained the male who they knew from prior contacts. The male was identified by his California Driver’s License.  A warrant check of the individual returned positive with an active warrant.  The warrant was confirmed and the individual was booked at the county jail. 7:10pm       Mission/Godeus            Narcotics
Officers Cassinelli and Archilla were on patrol when they were flagged down by a taxi driver regarding a passenger who refused to pay the fare.  The officers detained the individual who had no identification and provided the officers with his name.  He spoke minimal English and Officer Archilla conducted the interview in Spanish.  A record check of the name given revealed an active warrant in the system.  The taxi driver refused to press charges and left the scene.  A transport search of the suspect located a clear plastic baggie containing a white crystallized substance believed to be methamphetamine, and a small glass cylinder.  He was transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation.

At Ingleside station, the officers obtained a mug shot photo for the name provided by the suspect and discovered the person with the active warrant was not the individual they had in custody.  They used the police fingerprint machine which also returned negative for any name identification on the suspect.  At the instruction of Sgt. Lozada, he was booked for the narcotics and identification processing.  The presumptive test for narcotics returned positive for methamphetamine and it was hand delivered to the Narcotics Drop Box at the Hall of Justice.  Report Number 120269811

1:30am       300 Blk Munich            Burglary
Officer Frisk was sent to investigate a burglary.  The reportee advised that he returned home to find several items missing from his room, but that there was no sign of forced entry.  He believes he may have left one of the doors unlocked but he was unsure.  There was no other disturbed areas and he was unable to provide any suspect information.  Officer Frisk contacted SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit who said they would be responding to process the scene.  She provided the victim with follow up information.  Report Number 120267069

1:43am       Unit Blk Blythdale        Shots Fired
Officer Apodaca and several other Ingleside units were dispatched to a shotspotter activation in the Sunnydale Housing Projects.  They arrived on scene and spoke with the caller who pointed to an address where the officers could see bullet holes in the front of the residence.  They knocked on the front door and spoke with the tenants who said they were all okay.  They told the officers they were lying in bed when they heard gunshots outside.  When the gunshots ceased, one of the tenants walked downstairs and found bullet holes in the window, front door and several walls.  No one was injured and all tenants refused medical assistance.  Officer Gabriel located several spent shell casings and live rounds in the area.  A crime scene log was created.

The officers then spoke to a resident nearby who told them she heard what sounded like firecrackers.  She looked out of her window and saw an unknown male running down Blythdale shooting a gun.  The officer located bullet holes and fragments on the wall of that residence as well. The officer took photos of all evidence and saved it to a diskette for future investigation.

Dispatch then advised that a witness had stopped another unit to advise he had witnessed the incident.  The officers responded to the area and the witness told him that he observed several males running toward the projects with guns in their hands.  They stopped in front of a residence, began firing the guns, and then fled the scene. 

The officers ensured that all residents in the units did not require medical assistance and provided all of them with follow up information.  None of the residents said they would be able to identify the suspects. They collected all evidence and took pictures of the scene which they booked into evidence.  They searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspects.  Report Number 120270501

8:45am       2700 Blk Alemany        Burglary
Officers Archilla and Cassinelli were dispatched to a burglary. The victim spoke Cantonese and Officer Ng responded to the scene to assist in the interview.  The victim advised that she locked and secured her home and when she returned found the front gate open and the front door frame broken.  The officers searched the home for any suspects inside, but the home was empty.  The home was ransacked and the victim said that several items were missing.  They provided her with follow up information and took pictures of the scene for evidence.  Due to the lack of printable surfaces, SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit was not notified.  All evidence was booked at Ingleside station.  Report Number 120269190

8:50am       3300 Blk Mission          Theft
Officers Sanchez and Curry were sent to a theft.  The reportee advised that he was working when a truck pulled into the rear lot, loaded several pallets and left the scene.  He provided the officers with a suspect description and the license plate of the vehicle.  He was provided with follow up information.  The officers ordered a copy of the surveillance video and searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspect.  Report Number 120267467

A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Cato that he obtained a copy of his credit report which showed tax liens filed against him for a loan he never authorized.  He was unable to provide any further information and was provided follow up and identity theft information.  He provided copies of the report which PSA Cato booked into evidence.  Report Number 120265499

10:30am     400 Blk Geneva            Theft
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Zabarte that she placed her purse in a large bag and when she arrived at her destination noticed that her purse was missing from the bag.  She did not see anyone take the bag and was unable to provide any further information.  She was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 120267382

12:00pm     200 Blk Day                  Theft
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Flynn that he left his bag in an area of the park while he played basketball.  When he returned, he found his phone was missing from his backpack.  He did not see anyone take the phone and wanted the incident documented to shut off service on the phone.  He was provided with follow up information. 3:38pm       300 Blk Seneca             Arson
Officer Walsh was dispatched to investigate an arson.  She spoke with the reportee who told her that a fire had been set in the girl’s bathroom.  The SFFD had responded and put the fire out.  The reportee wanted the incident documented and was provided with follow up information. 4:00pm       Unit Blk Ora                 Burglary
Officers Benavidez and Lustenberger responded to a burglary. The victim advised that he returned home to notice that his bicycle was missing from the garage area where he had secured it.  The officers located a cut combination lock.  There was no sign of forced entry into the garage area and the victim was provided with follow up information.  Due to the lack of any physical evidence,  SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit was not notified.  Report Number 120269720

4:45pm       4000 Blk Mission          Robbery
Officer Yuen and several other Ingleside units were dispatched to a robbery which had just occurred.  They met with the victim who said she was walking down Mission Street when someone approached her from behind, yanked her purse from her and pushed her to the ground.  The victim refused medical assistance. The suspect then ran down some stairs which lead to Alemany Boulevard.  The officers took photos of her injuries as evidence.  The victim said she would not be able to recognize the suspect if she saw him again.

The officers then spoke with a witness at the scene who corroborated what the victim said but also would not be able to identify the suspect.  The victim was provided with follow up information and the officers searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspect.  All evidence was booked at Ingleside station.  Report Number 120269140

5:40pm       Santos/Brookdale        Battery
Officers Peregoy and Trail were on patrol in the Sunnydale Housing Projects when they observed a female staggering down the street.  They stopped to assist her and she told them she was dizzy because she had just been hit on her head.  The victim complained of neck pain as well, and the officers immediately summoned an ambulance to assist her. 

The victim said as she was walking down the street when two males physically slammed into her.  She said she thought they were trying to rob her but no such attempt was made.  The victim provided a description of the suspects but said that she probably could not identify them if she saw them again.  The officers searched the area unsuccessfully and provided her with follow up information.  Report Number 120269413

6:30pm       Unit Blk Ora               Burglary
Officer Frisk was dispatched to an attempted burglary.  The reportee advised that he had observed a suspicious male in the area the evening before and this morning noticed that two of the locks to the buildings he manages had been damaged.  The officer observed damage to both locks but due to the lack of any physical evidence she did not contact SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit.  Report Number 120267495

Officers Castillo and Morse were on patrol when they were flagged down by the victim of an auto boost.  The victim told them that she parked and secured her company vehicle and when she returned found the window smashed and several items missing.  She was unable to provide any suspect description and there were no witnesses.  Officers provided her with follow up information and searched the general area unsuccessfully for any possible surveillance cameras.  They took pictures of the damage to the vehicle and booked them into evidence at Ingleside station.  Report Number 120270040
