Incident Date:
Monday, January 16th, 2012

Arrests:

7:34pm       100 Blk Laura               Weapons
Sgt. Lozada and Officers Gonzalez and Antonian responded to the call of a man with a gun.  The officers arrived and detained all reportees at the scene.  They spoke with the suspect who told them that he had argued with his neighbors and was upset.  He said he went inside his house and brought out a rifle which he was holding upright.  He said that he never pointed the rifle at anyone and understood that it was a stupid thing to do.  The suspect gave the officers permission to search his residence and told them where he had placed the weapons.  Inside the residence the officers located the rifle, handguns, and ammunition.  Officer Park took photos of the items and the officers seized them as evidence.  The suspect was provided with a property receipt for the items.

The victims were all interviewed by the officers and they reiterated what the suspect had said.  Noone was injured and they requested no further police involvement.  The suspect was transported to Ingleside station where a record check of the firearms revealed them as not registered to any specific person.  Because the rifle and magazine it contained fell within the definition of an assault rifle, the suspect was booked at Ingleside station for the weapons charge.  All evidence was booked at the station as well.
