Arrests:

12:08am     Bayshore & Arleta        Warrant
Officers Seavey and Padilla were on patrol when they spotted a vehicle in front of them with an expired registration sticker on the license plate.  A records check revealed that the registration was in fact expired.  As the officers traveled behind the vehicle, they realized that it had made a turn so that the vehicle would then be traveling in the same direction that it had just come from.  The officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the driver.  The driver told the officers that she did not have a driver’s license with her, or anything with her picture on it.  The driver could also not produce registration or insurance information.  The driver told the officers that she didn’t know who the vehicle was registered to.  The officers noticed a large hole in the center console where a stereo should have been.  The officers suspected that the vehicle might be stolen.  The officers asked the driver for the key to the vehicle, but she claimed she dropped it in the car somewhere.  The driver was unable to find the key.  The officers took the driver out the vehicle and detained her pending further investigation.  A records check revealed that the driver’s license was suspended  The driver told the officers that she might have photo identification and paperwork for the vehicle in her purse.  While searching for those items, the officers recovered a file key, which is commonly used to start an ignition without having the actual vehicle key.  The officers also located a screwdriver, suspected narcotics, three more file keys and a photo ID belonging to the driver.  The driver was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.  She was arrested.  Report

3:40pm       100 Blk Ellington St       Battery
Officers Walsh and Altamirano responded to a report of a battery.  The victim had stayed the night at the suspect’s house, who is a relative.  The victim wanted to leave and take some of her belongings.  The victim and the suspect physically struggled over an item in the house that the suspect insisted belonged to him.  The suspect then hit the victim in the face and pushed her, causing her head to hit the wall.  The victim fell to the ground and the suspect kicked the victim as she lay on the ground.  The victim had a small cut on her lip but did not have any other visible injuries.  The suspect claimed that the victim punched him in the face twice during the struggle over the belongings.  The suspect then pushed the victim and escorted her out of the house.  The victim returned carrying a small broom.  She hit the suspect with the broom twice  across his knuckles, causing the broom stick to break.  The suspect did not have any visible injuries. The victim wanted to press charges and signed a citizen’s arrest form against the suspect. The suspect did not press charges.  The suspect was subsequently arrested.  Report 120054333

6:13pm       200 Blk Leland St           Warrant
Officers Campos and Burke were on patrol when they saw a vehicle travel through an intersection without making any attempt to stop at the posted stop sign.  The officers made a u-turn while activating the vehicle’s red lights and siren.  The officers saw the vehicle speed away and then abruptly pull over and park.  The driver exited the vehicle and told the officers that his sister was driving the car.  The officers did not see a female in the car, nor was there one in the area.  The officers detained the suspect and conducted a records check, which revealed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.  The suspect was arrested.  Report 120054850

Officer Morgante took a report regarding theft.  The victim parked his vehicle, locked and secured.  Upon his return, the victim realized that his catalytic converter had been stolen.  Report 120053711

8:10am       John F. Shelly                   Theft
Officers Sullivan and Padilla were dispatched to a report of theft.  The victim parked his vehicle and left it unattended.  Upon his return, he found that an unknown suspect had smashed a passenger side window.  Several items were taken from the car.  Report 120053846

12:00pm     300 Blk Beacon St            Burglary
Officer Thompson was dispatched to a report of a burglary.  The victim had parked their vehicles in their locked garage.  Upon his return to the garage , the victim noticed the trunk to his vehicle was open.  Items from a second vehicle parked in the garage were missing.  Report 120054292

12:34pm     3300 Blk Mission St         Theft
Officer Coles responded to a report of a theft.  The victim told the officer that two suspects had entered the premise and stolen several items.  The suspects fled the store.  Report 120053896

1:00pm       4900 Blk Mission St          Fraud
Officer Goldsborough responded to a report of fraud. The victim told the officer that she had possibly lost her wallet containing her credit cards.  When the victim returned home, she received a voicemail from her bank telling her that unusual activity had occurred on her account.  The victim did not authorize the use of her card.  Report 120052042

6:50pm       3300 Mission St                 Theft
Officers Almaguer and Archilla was dispatched to a report of theft.  The victim was in an eatery having a meal and placed her cell phone on the table.  Suddenly, the suspect entered the eatery and grabbed the victim’s cell phone off of the table.  The victim chased after the suspect as he fled, but lost sight of him.  The suspect dropped his jacket as he fled, which the victim retrieved.  The officers booked the jacket into evidence.  Report 120054957

8:00pm       3300 Blk Mission St          Burglary
Officers Leong and Peregrina were on patrol when they were flagged down by a victim regarding a burglary.  The victim told the officers that he had left his home for a couple of hours.  When he returned, his residence was ransacked.  The victim could not find any signs of forced entry.  The victim believed that he might know the suspect.  Report 120055438
