Arrests:

10:49am     4900 Blk Mission St     Warrant
Officer Bernard responded to a report of a shoplifter.  The witness was alerted by one of the cashiers that a suspect had shoplifted some items.  The suspect left the store with the items without making any attempt to pay for them.  The witness stopped the suspect outside of the store and detained him.  The officers conducted a records check of the suspect and discovered that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.  The suspect was arrested.  Report 120031767

4:00pm       Crescent & Ellsworth   Warrant
Officers Hart and Duffin were on patrol when they spotted a vehicle make no attempt to stop at a posted stop sign.  The officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and advised the driver of the violation.  A records check of the vehicle revealed that the registration was expired.  A records check of the driver revealed that his license was suspended and that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.  The driver was arrested.  Report 120032709

SFCCPD Officer Bermudez was on patrol at the community college when he spotted a suspect standing closely to the entrance of the woman’s restroom.  The suspect appeared to be looking into the restroom.  The officer contacted the suspect and asked him what he was doing.  The suspect refused to answer the officer’s question.  Two women then exited the bathroom and told the officer that the suspect was making them uncomfortable by being so close to them.  The women walked off and the suspect followed, ignoring the officer.  The officer followed the suspect and watched as he passed the two women and then stood in front of them.  The suspect continued to stare at the women.  The woman again stated that the suspect was making them uncomfortable.  The officer asked the suspect for his identification.  The suspect just stared at the officer, refusing to answer or give his ID.  The suspect then began to walk off.  The officer called for additional units.  A second officer arrived.  The suspect removed a set of keys from his pocket and threw them at the officer.  Another officer sprayed the suspect in the face with pepper spray.  The suspect finally complied with the officers instructions.  The suspect was treated at SFGH before being booked into County jail.  Report 120032903

Officer Preston was on patrol when he spotted a vehicle that failed to come to a stop at a posted stop sign.  The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle by activating the patrol vehicles red lights and siren.  The vehicle failed to pull over for the officer.  The vehicle proceeded forward through a steady red light.  The vehicle then slowed down and pulled over to the curb.  The driver of the vehicle exited and fled.  Several other officers responded and attempted to locate the fleeing suspect.  The officer contacted the passenger of the vehicle.  The passenger was transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation.  Two officers from the neighboring Taraval District had detained a potential suspect matching the description of the suspect from Officer Preston’s scene.  Officer Preston responded and determined that this suspect was not the same from his incident.  However, the suspect was in possession of a handgun and subsequently arrested by the Taraval officers.

A records check of the vehicle that Officer Preston initially stopped revealed that it was a stolen vehicle.  The officers located suspected marijuana inside the passenger side of the vehicle.  The passenger was arrested for possession of marijuana.  The driver is currently outstanding.  Report 120033224

Sgt. Miller responded to a report of theft.  The victim parked her vehicle in her driveway and secured it.  In the morning, she went out to her vehicle and discovered that the passenger window had been smashed.  Her GPS and other items were stolen.  Report 120031234

7:52am       Prague & Cordova       Theft
Officer Bernard was dispatched to a report of theft.  The victim discovered the passenger window on her van had been smashed out.  Several items were stolen from inside the vehicle.  Report 120031262

10:00am     300 Blk Madison St      Vandalism
Sgt. Miller was dispatched to a report of vandalism.  The victim parked her vehicle in her garage.  She noticed that there was a scratch on the side view mirror.  The victim suspected a tenant who has access to the garage although she did not see anyone damage her vehicle. Report 120031795

PSA Flynn took a report regarding fraud.  The victim received a letter from a collections agency asking her to contact them.  The victim contacted the bank and discovered that there were several fraudulent charges on her account.  Report 120032602

                   Theft
PSA Flynn took a report regarding theft.  The victim reported that she had parked and locked her vehicle.  When she returned, she found one the vehicle’s windows had been smashed, and several items taken from inside the vehicle.  Report 120032680

6:20pm      
300 Blk Ney St
              Burglary
Officers Archilla and Pereira responded to a report of a robbery.  The victim was exiting a grocery store when he was approached by two suspects.  The suspects asked the victim if he knew where a church was.  The victim told the suspects that he didn’t know where a church was.  The suspects told the victim that they wanted to make a cash donation to a church and asked if he would help them.  The victim agreed and got into a vehicle with both suspects.  The suspects drove to a church and met with a two more suspects.  The first two suspects handed a large sum of money to the third suspect.  The first two suspects then took the victim back to his home.  The victim allowed both suspects into his home.  They told the victim that they wanted to give him a reward for helping them.  The suspects told the victim that they wanted to make sure that he was good with money, and asked if he had any one hand.  The victim took out nearly $1000 that he had in cash and placed it on the table.  The suspects then asked the victim if he had any jewelry.  The victim took several thousand dollars of jewelry and placed it on the table with the cash.  The suspect commented that the jewelry was beautiful and asked if he could see it in the light.  The victim agreed.  The suspect grabbed the jewelry and the cash and fled the residence with the second suspect.  Report 120034006

Officers Hom and Cassinelli responded to a report of a burglary.  The victim came home and found that the front door of his residence had been kicked in.  The officers searched the premise for the suspects with negative results.  The victim told the officers that he left his residence earlier in the day and had secured the front door by locking it.  Several of the victim’s personal belongings had been stolen from the residence.  Report 120033434

Officers Hauscarriague and Almaguer were dispatched to a report of threats.  The victim told the officers that the suspect was a regular customer.  The suspect was rude to the victim and used offensive language towards her.  The suspect was asked to leave.  The suspect threatened to kill the victim before being escorted out of the business.  Report 120033553
