Arrests:
10:45am 1000 Blk Munich St Mischief
Officer Thompson was dispatched to a report of a person with a knife. Several other officers responded to the scene. The officers contacted the suspect and detained him pending further investigation. The suspect did not have a knife upon the officer’s arrival. The victim said that he got into an argument with the suspect over cleaning up after the dog. The victim said the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened him with it. The suspect went around the premise breaking several items. The suspect denied having a knife but admitted to breaking the items. The suspect was arrested for vandalism. Report 111041535
12:52pm 200 Blk Ney St Stolen vehicle
Officer Morrow was on patrol when he spotted a vehicle without a front license plate. The officer noticed that the passenger in the vehicle was sitting very low in his seat. The officer conducted a records check of the vehicle and it came back stolen. The vehicle pulled over and parked. The passenger got out of the vehicle and went into a nearby premise. The officer contacted the driver and advised her of the stolen vehicle. She was also driving on a suspended license. The officer arrested the driver. The passenger could not be located. Officer Frisk was dispatched to a report of vandalism to a vehicle. The victim’s vehicle had been damaged with scratch marks in the paint. The victim had suspicions of who might have caused the damage. Report 111041284
3:00am 900 Blk Teresita Blvd Theft
PSA Flynn took a report regarding theft from a building. The victim had several family members over to her residence for Christmas. The day after they left, she discovered that there were fraudulent charges made to her checking account. There was also jewelry stolen from her home. Report 111043202
9:00am Dublin & Persia Ave Theft
CPSA Callaghan took a report regarding theft from a vehicle. The victim parked and left his vehicle secured. Upon return, the victim found that the driver’s door lock had been damaged and several items taken from the inside of the vehicle. Report 111041507
1:00pm 500 Blk Portola Ave Graffiti
Officer Frisk responded to a report of vandalism. An unknown suspect entered the property and had damaged several plants and other items, including fireplaces and handmade artwork. Report 111039217
10:47pm Diamond & Bosworth Robbery
Officers Anderson and Ferronato were dispatched to a report of a robbery. The victim was on his way home from work and waiting for the bus. Three suspects approached him, and one put a knife to the victim’s stomach. The suspect told the victim not to move while another suspect went through the victim’s pockets. The suspect took the victim’s wallet. The suspects then fled. The victim sustained a minor cut to his arm. Report 111043274
