Incident Date:
Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

Arrests:

8:26pm                 Unit Blk Pope                Narcotics
Officers Hauscarriague, Almaguer and Hom were informed by another officer that an address in the district was trafficking narcotics and that the resident of the home was on active felony probation.  The officers began conducting surveillance in the area when they observed two subjects leave the home.  The description provided regarding the individual on probation matched one of the subjects exiting the home.  The officers detained the subjects and learned that neither of the detained individuals was the subject they were in search of.  However, a record check made on the detainees revealed that one of them was also on active probation with a search condition.  The individual on probation was asked if he had anything illegal in his possession and the suspect handed him two clear plastic baggies containing a white crystalline rocklike substance which the officers believed to be Methamphetamine.  The suspect was placed under arrest and the other subject was released at the scene.

The officers responded to the arrestee’s home in attempts of doing a probation search of the premise.  An individual answered the door, told the officer’s that he resided there and allowed the officers inside after the officers told him why they were there.  A search of the arrestee’s bedroom located a firearm and ammunition which the officer’s confiscated as evidence and provided the resident of the home with a property receipt.  The suspect was transported to Ingleside police station and booked for the narcotics and having possession of a firearm at the instruction of Sgt. Inocencio.  The white substance tested positive for Methamphetamine and it was hand delivered to the narcotics drop box at the Hall of Justice.  Report number 110959533

9:45pm                 100 Blk Brompton        Robbery
Officers Park and Chang responded to the call of a person screaming for help.  They arrived and met with the victim who had visible cuts to her hands and face.  The officers offered her medical assistance which she refused.  The victim told them that she was walking on Brompton when she observed a male walk past her.  A few seconds later she was tackled to the ground and the suspect grabbed her purse and attempted to yank it from her hand.  The victim said she began screaming for help and felt pain to her wrist area so she let go of the purse.  The suspect then ran down Brompton and boarded a vehicle near Joost Street which sped away.  A resident in the area who had heard the victim screaming exited her home to assist her and called the police.  The victim and resident did not see the suspect and could not identify him if they saw him again.  The victim was provided with follow up information.  Officers canvassed the area for the suspect and vehicle to no avail.  Report number 110959759
