Arrests:

0:57am       Cesar Chavez/Kansas   Narcotics
Officers Hauscarriague and Amalguer were on patrol when they observed a vehicle whose left headlamp was not working.  The affected a traffic stop and immediately detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana  when they approached the vehicle and made contact with the driver.  There were several passengers in the vehicle and a record check of one of them revealed him to be on active probation.  The occupants were removed from the vehicle and other Ingleside units responded to assist with the probation search.  Officer Almaguer located a pill bottle containing a white powder substance and various clear plastic baggies also containing a white powder substance which they believed to be cocaine.  They read the driver his Miranda rights and he said he understood them.  He stated that he was going to a party and had purchased the cocaine somewhere on Market Street.  All three other occupants denied knowing anything about the white substance.  Those three occupants were released at the scene and the driver was placed under arrest and transported to Ingleside station.  At Ingleside station the officers removed a green leafy vegetable like substance from one of the driver’s pockets which they believed to be marijuana.  A test of some of the white powder substance tested positive for cocaine.  The driver was booked at Ingleside station for the narcotics possession.  The officer took pictures of the narcotics and booked them into evidence at Ingleside station.  Report Number 110914509

2:27pm       100 Blk Tiffany             Narcotics
Sgt. Lozada, Officers Antonian and Gonzalez, as well as several other Ingleside officers responded to a known address in search of a known suspect.  They made contact with the suspect and advised they were there to search the premises.  Several individuals were detained inside of the home and a police dog was also summoned.  Officers located large amounts of currency, clear baggies containing a white crystalline material which they suspected to be methamphetamine, various baggies containing a green leafy like vegetable matter which they suspect to be marijuana and clear plastic baggies with pills inside which they identified as MDMA or ecstasy.  All suspects were transported to Ingleside station for further investigation.  Presumptive tests of the narcotics tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana.  All suspects were interviewed after being provided their Miranda rights.  At the instruction of Sgt. Lozada two of the suspects were released and the third was booked at Ingleside station for possession of narcotics with intent to sell.  The officers took pictures of the narcotics and booked them into evidence at Ingleside station.  Officer Gonzalez hand carried the narcotics to the narcotics drop box at the Hall of Justice.  Report Number 110915961  **BEST ARREST OF THE DAY**

8:00pm       100 Blk Hanover           Warrant
Officers Almaguer, Hauscarriague and Hom were on patrol searching for a suspect who was on active probation and had an outstanding warrant.  They responded to a residence where they believed the suspect might be.  The residents answered the door and allowed the officers inside to search for the suspect.  They located the suspect in a closet in one of the bedrooms.  He was positively identified by his California Driver’s License and taken into custody without incident.  He was transported to Ingleside station and was booked once the warrant was confirmed.  Report Number 101175025

9:58pm       700 Blk Naples             Warrant
Officers Almaguer, Hauscarriague and Hom were on patrol searching for a suspect who was on active probation and had an outstanding warrant.  They responded to a residence where they believed the suspect might be.  This address was also known to the officers as a home where narcotics are sold and used.  They knocked on the door and a gentleman opened the door.  One of the officers immediately recognized the suspect they were looking for inside of the residence.  He was taken into custody without incident.  The officers made a positive identification of the suspect using his California Driver’s License and he was booked at Ingleside station upon confirmation of the warrant.  Report Number 110763102

6:30am       3200 Blk Mission           Theft
CPSAs Lee and Der were dispatched to a theft.  They met with the victim who advised she was in the bank parking lot when she opened her trunk where her purse was.  She walked to the front of the vehicle and left the trunk open.  When she returned she found the purse missing and a male suspect running away from her vehicle.  Witnesses in the area told the CPSAs that the suspect ran toward a Safeway parking lot.  The CPSAs responded to the area in search of the suspect to no avail.  They were unable to locate any surveillance cameras and the victim was provided with follow up information.  An hour later dispatched advised that a purse matching the description had been located near Day Street.  CPSA Der responded to the area and recovered the purse.  She took pictures of the area where the purse was recovered and booked them into evidence at Ingleside station.  The found property was booked at Ingleside station at the instruction of Sgt. 7:30am       Unit Blk Santos             Vandalism
Officers Trujillo and Hui responded to the report of damage to property.  They met with the victim who told them he had an argument with his neighbor because she had had a party the night before and various children were jumping up and about his truck.  The victim said that when he returned to the truck this morning there were several new scratches and other damage to the truck which had not been there before.  He went to his neighbor’s house and she refused to open the door so he threw a rock at the door to get her attention and the rock caused a dent in the door area.  The officers responded to the neighbor’s home to speak with her and she agreed that she refused to open the door because the victim seemed irate.  She said the damage to her door had been done by him and it was new damage.  She could not say who damaged the neighbor’s truck nor was the victim able to identify anyone whom he saw jumping up and around the vehicle.  Both parties were advised and refused any further police action.  Report Number 110914963

12:00pm     400 Blk Athens             Theft
CPSAs Der and Lee were sent to investigate a burglary.  They met with the victim who stated he had recently returned from vacation and had left his bicycle unsecured in a communal garage area.  He said that when he returned to get his bike on today’s date that the bicycle was missing.  The victim said there was no sign of any forced entry into the premises and was unable to provide the CPSAs with any further information.  The CPSAs could find no sign of forced entry or any sign of physical evidence to process the scene.  They were unable to locate any surveillance videos in or near the premises and provided the victim with follow up information.  Report Number 110915262

1:00pm       Mt. Vernon/Shawnee   Vandalism
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told Officer Coles that he was driving on Mt. Vernon when he heard a large bang and noticed the left rear passenger window shattered.  The victim pulled over and made sure everyone in the vehicle was not injured and located a pellet on the rear passenger seat.  He was unable to provide any suspect description and does not know why anyone would shoot at his vehicle.  He gave the pellet to Officer Coles and PSA Zabarte took pictures of the damage to the vehicle.  All evidence was booked at Ingleside station and the victim was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 110915682

2:45pm       Holly Park                     Theft
Officer Najarro was dispatched to a theft report.  Several other Ingleside officers responded to the area to search for the suspect as dispatched had provided a description of him.  Officer Najarro met with reportee who stated he saw a male take a cellular phone from a homeless man who was sleeping and then run into the park area.  The witness stated that he could identify the suspect if he saw him again.  Officer Najarro then met with the victim who said he was sleeping in the park and placed his belongings next to him.  He said he then felt someone approach him on foot and saw an unknown male running away.  The victim checked his belongings and noticed his cellular phone was missing.  He was not injured and refused medical assistance.  The victim was provided with follow up information and the officers searched the area for the suspect to no avail.  Report Number 110915591
