Arrests:

12:11am Unit Blk Velasco   Probation Violation
Officers Otaguro and Baldovino were in the area handling another call when they suddenly heard screaming.  They made contact with two individuals in the midst of a verbal altercation and separated the parties.  Further investigation revealed that one of the subjects was in violation of a court order as well as being in violation of his probation.  The suspect was taken into custody without incident.   Report 110664055

8:47pm 1700 Blk Sunnydale   Court Order Violation
Officers Tigran and Dudley were on foot in the area when they observed a subject that they were familiar with.  The officers had prior knowledge that the subject was not supposed to be in that area, per the terms of his active probation.  The male was taken into custody for the violation and booked into the County Jail.   Report 110663621

8:55pm Unit Blk Rotteck        Warrant Arrest
Officers Hom and Cassinelli were on patrol when they observed a driver within a vehicle illegally talking on his cellular phone.  They effected a traffic stop and made contact with the driver.  As they approached the car, they saw that the passenger was a wanted felon that officers in the district had been attempting to locate.  The male was taken into custody without incident.  The driver was cited for the vehicle code violation as well as for driving without a valid license. The passenger was booked into the county jail on the active warrant! Excellent arrest!   Report Number 110663580

12:58am  1500 Blk Sanchez        Robbery
Officers Baldovino and Otaguro were dispatched to the area regarding a robbery.  The victim explained to them that he had been walking home from a friend’s house when he saw two suspects cross the street and come towards him.  One of the males pulled out a handgun and put it up against the victim’s chest.  He was ordered to give the suspects all of his possessions, which he did, fearing for his safety.  After taking his money and personal property, he was then directed to walk away.  The victim was not harmed during the incident.  Officers conducted an unsuccessful search of the area for the two suspects.  Further investigation to be conducted by the Station Investigative Unit.  Report 110664180

12:58am  700 Blk Velasco       Arson
Officers Lozano and Benavidez responded to this area regarding a vehicle on fire.  They made contact with SFFD Personnel who pointed out a vehicle that was completely charred.  The fire was of suspicious origin and a police report was made to document the incident.  There was no suspect information.  Further investigation to be conducted by the Arson Unit.  Report 110664049

2:50am  McCarthy/Burr        Robbery
Officers Ma and Morse responded to this location regarding a robbery that involved the use of a firearm.  The victim was a cab driver who explained that he had been assisting a female passenger get safely to her residence.  As he walked her up to her front door, he saw two males walking towards his vehicle.  One of the suspects reached into the cab and grabbed his backpack from the front seat.  The victim ran towards the suspects and one of the males turned towards him, pointing a handgun.  The suspect ordered him to stop or he would shoot.  Fearing for his life, the victim immediately stopped his approach and watched as both males fled on foot.  The victim sustained no injuries from the incident.  Report Number 110661164

7:00am  3400 Blk San Bruno     Shot Fired
Officers Sullivan and Padilla responded to this residence regarding a bullet located by the occupant.  The victim said that upon returning home from work, he discovered plaster on his couch.  Further inspection discovered a bullet hole within the ceiling.  He turned over a small caliber slug to the officers which was retained as evidence.  There was no suspect information.  Report Number 110661863

2:00pm   50 Phelan          Theft
Community College Police Officer Ngoi took a report regarding a theft.  One of the students reported having left a backpack unattended within a classroom.  Upon returning, they discovered several items stolen from the backpack.   Report Number 110661891

5:15pm  400 Blk Geneva      Theft
PSA Tognozzi was contacted at the station regarding a theft.  The victim reported that while seated on the Muni Bus, an unknown male grabbed his cellular phone from his hand and ran off.  The theft happened so fast that he had no further information.  The suspect was last seen running down into BART.  Report Number 110661841

7:30pm  600 Blk Monterey      Burglary
CPSA Derr and Officer Pai responded to this location regarding a burglary.  The victim told them that an unknown suspect had entered an unsecured garage area and had stolen her bicycle. Her bike had been locked to her son’s bicycle within the unsecured storage area, both bikes were now gone.  She had no suspect information, but turned over the cut cable wire as evidence.  Report Number 110661277

9:00pm  700 Blk Monterey   Burglary
Officers Apodaca and Gabriel responded to this location regarding another bike theft from a locked garage area.  The victim reported that the garage is a locked garage, however the bikes had not been secured.  Forced entry had been made through a metal gate to gain access.  The victim had no suspect information.  Further investigation to be referred to the Station Investigative Unit.  Report Number 110663273

8:00pm   100 Blk Otsego     Theft
The victim came to Ingleside Station to report a theft from his locked vehicle.  He had locked and left his car in the area and returned to find his front door forced open and personal property stolen.  He had no suspect information.  Report Number 110661255

10:00pm  100 Blk Bennington     Burglary
Officer Archilla responded to this residence regarding a burglary.  The victim reported that she went to bed, leaving her laptop on a shelf.  In the morning she noticed a window that was open and the laptop was missing from the shelf.  She had no suspect information and had not heard any noises throughout the evening.   Report Number 110663530

10:03pm   200 Blk Rey        Homicide
 Numerous Ingleside Units responded to this location regarding a person being shot in the area.  Officers McMilton and Burke, who heard the gunshots, were the first on scene and immediately rendered aid.  The male victim had sustained multiple gunshots and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital Emergency Room.  All parties on scene were interviewed, however little suspect information was able to be obtained.  The victim ultimately succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.   The investigation was turned over to Homicide Inspectors who responded to the scene.
