Arrests:

12:28 am       1700 blk Cayuga            Stolen Access Card Possession
Officers Burke and Castillo observed an occupied vehicle parked in a no parking area and contacted the occupants.   The officers found that when the door of the vehicle was opened a strong odor of burnt marijuana emanated from the vehicle interior. The driver of the vehicle was found to be on probation with a search condition.  The officers searched the vehicle and found a backpack containing identification and credit cards that did not belong to any of the occupants.  The driver and the passenger who claimed ownership of the backpack were taken into custody.  The passenger who owned the backpack later revealed to the officers that he found both wallets, one in a bar and one in a Muni bus, during the World Series and did not turn them in.  He was booked at Ingleside Station.  The driver of the vehicle was released.  Report number 110003453

Officers Padilla and Seavey observed a vehicle with an equipment violation.  The officers conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver who told the officers that he had a warrant for his arrest.  The officers confirmed the warrant and took the suspect into custody.  He was booked at Ingleside Station.  Report number 110003384

Officers Preston and Chew responded to a fight at a grocery store.  A woman, who felt insulted by other patrons who made a snide comment about her payment method, yelled at the patrons then threw an egg at them striking one of them in the leg.  The woman who was struck signed a citizens’ arrest form against the suspect who was then cited and released at the scene.  Report number 110004213

01:48 pm       200 blk Anderson               Attempted Burglary, Apartment
Officers Altamirano, Toomey, Johnson and Bernard responded to a burglary in progress call.  A witness called the police and gave updated information while the crime was occurring.  The officers located and detained the suspects who were then identified by the witness.  The residents of the unit returned to their home during the investigation and found that their home was still secure due to the efforts of the witness. Both suspects were taken into custody and booked at Ingleside Station.  Report number 110004417

Officers Kabanuck and Castillo observed a bicyclist fail to stop for a red light and conducted a traffic stop.  The officers discovered that the subject had several warrants for his arrest and therefore took him into custody.  He was booked at Ingleside Station.  Report number 110005471

Officers Hurwitz, Daggett, Burke and Tam responded to the residence of a man with a warrant and took him into custody.  The officers found that the suspect was also wanted in regards to another investigation and therefore charged him with those crimes as well.  He was booked at Ingleside Station.  Report number 110001059

Officers Ma and Ferronato responded to an auto boost call. The officers met with the victim who told them that she left her vehicle parked, secured and unattended.  She heard her vehicle alarm sound and went to her vehicle to check on it and found that one of the windows had been smashed.  Nothing had been taken from the vehicle.  Report number 110003629

Officers Ma and Ferronato responded to another auto boost call and met with the victim who stated that his vehicle alarm sounded and apparently scared off the suspect who he saw fleeing the area in a dark colored sedan.  The victim did not see the suspect and suffered no loss.  Report number 110003657

Officers Apodaca, Gabriel, Padilla, Seavey, Ma and Ferronato responded to a call of a large group damaging property.  Two boys were found and detained, but the caller became unavailable and there was no one to identify the detained suspect.  The vandalized property was discovered to be a vacant housing unit.  Report number 110003607

Officers Sullivan and Padilla responded to a stolen auto call.  The owner of a used car lot was victimized by a man stating that he wanted to sell him a vehicle.  The victim gave the man $35 dollars and was to return later to complete the transaction.  The seller left and then the car lot owner discovered that the vehicle was stolen and called for the police.  Report number 110004257

Officers Castillo and Kabanuck responded to a burglary call.  They found that someone had damaged the garage door to a home.  There was no loss discovered. Report number 110004887

02:08 pm       4700 blk Mission                 Robbery, Street, w/Force
Officers Padilla, Park and Chang responded to a robbery call.  The victim told the officers that he was punched in the mouth by a known suspect and that the suspect stole his money.  The officers were unable to locate the suspect.  Report number 110004445

08:30 pm       600 blk Russia                    Theft from Building
A theft victim approached PSA Cato at Ingleside Station and reported that a large sum of money was stolen from her bedroom.  She did not have any suspect information.  Report number 110005675

10:21 pm       3900 blk Mission                 Att Robbery w/Gun
Officers Castillo and Kabanuck were flagged down by a man who told them that two Hispanic males had just pulled a gun on him and attempted to rob him.  The suspects fled upon seeing the approaching radio car.  The officers had seen two men matching the suspect description walking briskly from the area just prior to being flagged down.  The officers searched the area with the victim to no avail.  The victim was not injured and suffered no loss.  Suspect 1- HM, 19-20 years old, 5’5, 160 lbs, light complexion, facial hair, Spanish speaking, with black handgun. Suspect 2- HM, 5’6, 160 lbs, brown hair, wearing all dark clothing.  Report number 110005738

Officers Vizcay and Ferronato responded to a burglar alarm at a school building.  The officers found a broken door and established a perimeter around the school.  A K-9 unit responded to the scene and the dog searched the building with negative results.  The officers found that the suspect used a rock to break into the school and then the office inside.  The suspect apparently injured him/herself in the process as blood was found at the scene.  Report number 110005954
