10:53am        4900 blk Mission                 Shoplifting
Officer Naval and Officer Morrow responded to the report of a person caught shoplifting at a supermarket. A store manager had seen the victim attempt to take several items out of the store without paying for them. The manager confronted the suspect who then struggled to get away. The manager held the suspect there until the police arrived. The suspect was charged with shoplifting. Report number 100932210

05:03pm        3400 blk Cesar Chavez     Drug Arrest
Officer Gomez and Officer Hom were on patrol when they saw a vehicle driving with a mechanical violation. The officers stopped the car, and smelled the odor of marijuana coming from inside. A search of the vehicle showed that the man was in possession of marijuana. The man was charged with transportation and possession of marijuana with the intent to sell. Report number 100933456

07:11pm        600 blk Geneva                   Drug Arrest/Parole Violation
Officer Hom and Officer Gomez were on patrol when they saw a vehicle driving with expired registration tabs. The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was discovered to be on parole. A search of the car showed that the man was in possession of oxycontin pills without a prescription. The man was arrested. Report number 100933860

08:51pm        Unit blk Esquina                 Poss. Of Ammunition
Officer Obot and Officer Johnson conducted a search of the residence of a person on probation along with other Probation Officers. Inside the residence, they found that the subject was in possession of firearm ammunition, which was a violation of her probation term. The subject was arrested for the violation. 07:00 am       1000 blk Church                 Dog Bite
Officers Curry and Sanchez were sent to investigate a dog bite incident. The victim dog owner told the officers that she was walking her dog when another dog (the suspect dog was on a 10 foot leash) lashed out and bit the victims dog causing a 3 inch gap. The victim dog needed stitches for his wounds. This case is still under investigation. Report number 100932317

10:15 am       Unit blk Milton                     Theft from Auto
Officers Sugitan and Tillan were sent to investigate a theft case. The victim told the officers that she parked her car in front of her house for a few hours. The victim left her laptop, camera and other items inside the car. The victim told the officers that when she returned a few hours later someone had broken one of her windows and remover all her property. Report number 100933268

11:00 am       900 blk Ellsworth                Residential Burglary
Officers Hopkins and Uang were sent to investigate a burglary case. The victim told the officers that she was downtown shopping and was the victim of a robbery where her purse was taken containing keys, ID and other property. * The victim waited to get home to notify the police about the incident.  The victim discovered that she was also a burglary victim now. Officers Conceicao and Leong were sent to investigate a vandalism case. The victim told the officers that he observed two unknown suspects walking by his car. The victim looked away for a second and heard the sound of glass breaking. The victim discovered that his window was broken. Report number 100934040

08:30 pm       Unit blk Brookdale             Threatening Phone Calls
Officers Khan and Jones were sent to investigate a threatening phone call case. The victim told the officers that a known suspect has been calling and leaving threatening messages on the phone. The case is under investigation. Report number 100934595

Officer Castillo was sent to investigate a burglary case. The victim told the officer that he left his home locked and secured only to discover someone had gained entry through the garage. The victim told the officer that an unknown suspect removed construction tools and fled. Report number 100933462
