Arrests:
12:01am Brazil & La
Grande Stolen Vehicle
Many
times thieves are creatures of habit. Car thieves, knowingly or unknowingly,
seem to follow certain rules in the district when dumping stolen cars. In the
Ingleside District a lot of stolen vehicles are recovered near one of the
entrances to McLaren Park. So it was no surprise when Ingleside officer Fegan
noticed a stolen older Mazda pickup truck parked on Brazil near La Grande.
Inside were three occupants. Officer Fegan called for assistance and officers
Ferronato and Ortega soon arrived on scene. The three occupants exited the car
and the driver was placed in custody. The driver was on probation for burglary
and auto theft. He, along with one of his passengers with a misdemeanor
warrant, were taken to Ingleside Station for booking. The stolen truck was
returned to its San Francisco owner. Report number: 170481065

Mission
Warrant
The owner of a local business flagged down Ingleside officers
Suguitan and Leung to complain to the officers about two men walking away down
the street. The store owner said the two men continue to trespass and harass
him in his store. Officer Suguitan recognized one of the two men from previous
contacts. Suguitan checked a statewide data base and discovered that one
suspect had a felony no bail warrant for his arrest. He was quickly apprehended
and taken to Ingleside Station for booking. His companion was released at the
scene. Report number: 170482853
Serious Incidents:
3:32am Unit Blk. Everson Hot Prowl Burglary
A man was suddenly awakened by a security alarm at his home
and quickly called police. Ingleside officers Cagney and Zhao arrived soon
thereafter and found the victim inside the home. The officers searched the home
for suspects without success. The victim told police that while he was on the
phone with dispatch one suspect opened his bedroom door. He immediately ran
away when the homeowner started screaming. A search of the premises determined
that the homeowner’s laptop was missing. The officers and the victim determined
the thief entered the home through a side door. Report number: 170481225

Robbery
A young woman walking down Ottawa Street was the victim of a violent
robbery. She told Ingleside officer Washington that she was suddenly approached
from behind by an unknown suspect who pulled her to the ground by grabbing her
backpack. She started screaming for help while being kicked several times in
the back. After a short time the thief gained control of the backpack and ran
to a vehicle waiting nearby, driven by another suspect. The vehicle sped away. A nearby business owner, hearing the victim’s
screams, saw the suspects escape and called police. The victim was treated at
the scene for minor injuries by medical personnel. The loss was the backpack,
cellphone, car and house keys, wallet, and passport. Report number: 170482762
