Arrests:

12:18pm     300 Blk Edinburgh St            D.U.I.
Officers Chang and Park responded to a call of a fight involving a suspect who was reportedly drunk.  The witness told dispatch that the suspect had parked his car, blocking the witnesses’ driveway.  The officers arrived and contacted the suspect, who was seated in his car with the window open.  The officers could immediately smell alcohol emanating from inside the vehicle.  The suspect repeated several times that he wasn’t driving.  The suspect’s speech was slurred and eyes were bloodshot. The suspect handed the officers an ID.  A records check revealed that the suspect’s driver’s license had been suspended from a prior drunk driving arrest.  The witness told the officers that she came out of her residence and found that the suspect was blocking her driveway with his vehicle.  The witness asked the suspect to move. The suspect drove away, did a u-turn, and returned to the front of her residence, where he parked a second time blocking the driveway.  The officers believed that the suspect was drunk and asked him to exit his vehicle.  The suspect exited the vehicle and was unable to stand on his own, leaning on his vehicle for support.  The officers arrested the suspect for driving while under the influence of alcohol.  Report 120493054

6:02pm       Geneva & Naples St             Aggravated Assault
Officers Archilla and Gonzalez were dispatched to a report of an assault.  Dispatch provided the officers with a description of the suspect and his direction of travel while they were still in route.  Upon arrival, the officers located the victim, who had a gash in head.  The victim told the officers that the suspect approached him and demanded his money.  The suspect began punching the victim and hit him about seven times.  The victim refused to give the suspect any of his personal property, so the suspect gave up and walked away.  Officers Pereira and Cassinelli responded to the area in search of the suspect while Officers Gonzalez and Archilla interviewed the victim.  The officers located the suspect and detained him.  The suspect had blood on his shoe and matched the description given by the victim and the officers.  The officers were also familiar with the suspect from prior police contact.  The suspect was arrested. Officers Archilla and Gonzalez summoned an ambulance, who then transported to the victim to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.  Report 120493957

10:18pm     30th & Mission St                  Robbery
Officers Almaguer and Barajas responded to a report of a robbery.  Dispatch advised the officers that the victim was last seen following the suspect.  The officers arrived on scene and spotted an individual, later identified as the victim, walking closely to a second individual, later identified as the suspect.  The officers detained both subjects.  The victim told the officers that he had been waiting for the MUNI when he was approached by the suspect.  The suspect asked the victim what property he had on him.  The victim told the suspect that he didn’t have anything to give. The suspect suddenly pushed him and grabbed him in a choke hold.  The suspect reached into the victim’s pockets and removed his iPod, cash and cell phone.  The victim feared for his life so he didn’t struggle with the suspect.  The suspect let the victim go, and he ran across the street to tell a witness that he had been robbed.  The victim kept an eye on the suspect and followed him as he left the scene. The officers were able to ascertain enough information to arrest the suspect.  Report 120494494

Officers Hermosura and Pederson were dispatched to a report of multiple gun shots.  The officers located several spent bullet casings and a knife in the area where the shots were reported. The officers searched the area for victims or witnesses, but were unable to locate any.  The officers collected the evidence.  Report 120492078

5:32am       100 Blk Tiffany St                 Assault
Officers Hauscarriague and Ma responded to a report of two subjects in a physical fight.  Upon arrival, the officers located one of the victims.  The victim had a cut on his jaw and lip.  The victim said that he saw the suspect attempting to assault his girlfriend, and he intervened.  The suspect picked up a glass container and threw it at the victim, hitting him in the face.  The suspect fled.  The second victim was highly intoxicated and had white residue on her face, possibly a narcotic she had ingested.  Further investigation revealed that the two victims’ had been having a party, where people were drinking and consuming narcotics.  One of the victims was transported to SFGH for treatment of his injuries.  Report 120492341

Officers Castillo and Leong were on patrol when they were flagged down by a victim. The victim told the officers that she had parked her residence in front of her residence.  When she returned to the vehicle, she discovered that the tires on her vehicle had been slashed, causing them to become flat.  Report 120494240

5:00pm       4900 blk Mission          Theft
Officer Cassinelli and Archilla were sent to investigate a theft case at a local store. The officers spoke to reportee who told him that he was working and that he watched as the suspect took three bottles of alcohol and stuff them into her purse. The suspect then continued walking around the store while stuffing her purse with merchandise. The suspect then walked out the front door, pass the registers without paying. The reportee who is the security guard then stopped the suspect. The officers arrived and took custody of the suspect. The suspect was arrested for stealing $169.89 worth of merchandise. 6:57pm       800 blk Delano             Drug Arrest
Officers Archilla and Cassinelli were sent to investigate people smoking weed in a car. The officers located the vehicle and engaged the subjects in the car. The officers saw a plastic bag with green alleged marijuana.   The officers detained everyone. The officers transported the suspects to Ingleside station where they conducted a search of the suspects. In allot e officers found MDMA ecstasy. The suspects were booked on the drug charges at Ingleside Station. Report number 120491246

Officers Chan and Antonian had knowledge about a subject wanted on a warrant.  The officers began searching the area he normally hangs out and shortly thereafter the suspect was located. The suspect was arrested for the warrant. Report number 120331216

Officers Park and Chang were sent to investigate a burglary incident. The victim told the officers that while at home he heard some noise coming from the front of the building. The victim told the officers that when he went to open the door for the officers he discovered that front had been busted open. The victim did not observe any suspects. Report number 120489401

Officers Chang and Park were sent to investigate a battery case. The victim told the officers that a known suspect asked to stay the night and she complied. The victim told the officers that in the morning when the victim asked the suspect to help with some things around the house she was attacked. The suspect punched the victim on the face then fled the scene the victim refused medical attention. Report number 120489649

Officers Parka and Chang were dispatched to a burglary call. The victim told the officers that unknown suspects entered the home while they were home and ransacked it. The suspects had gained entry through the front door. The owner of the home told the officers that about $1000 was missing. CSI will respond to process the scene. Report number 120489699

Officer Frisk was sent to investigate a burglary incident. The victim told the officer that unknown suspect/s had removed over $20,000 in cash and jewelry. The victim gave the officers a list of names that had access to the area when the money was hidden. This case is under investigation.120481485

12:45pm     Mission/ Appleton         Robbery
Sgt Ly responded to investigate a robbery. The victim told the officer that she had just gotten off the bus when noticed suspects following her. The victim said that the suspects struggled. A friend of the victim showed up and helped her. The suspects tried to take her purse but were unable to. The victim told the officer that she then dropped her purse that is when the suspect picked it up and ran to a waiting car. The suspect left. The area was searched and yielded nothing. Officer Wong prepared a report regarding a Fraud case. The victim told the officer that she received a bill with over $1000 in new charges she had not made. The victim closed the account and made this report. Report number 120489934

Officer Wong prepared a report regarding a Fraud case. The victim told the officer that he was contacted by his accountant and told that someone had filed tax returns with his social security number. The IRS is investigating the case. Report 489592

Officers Yuen and Gonzalez were sent to investigate an assault case. The victim said that when he was exiting the bus an unknown suspect threw a bottle of water that hit the victim on the face. The suspect fled the scene. Report number 120491014

Officer Giannini prepared a report regarding a vandalism incident. The victim told the officer that he locked and parked his car and that when he returned someone had scratched the right side of the car. There were no suspects observed. Report number 120489467

Officers Barajas and Almaguer were patrolling the district in search of a wanted suspect. The officers learned that a suspect that frequents their area was wanted for two outstanding warrants totaling $22,000 for auto theft and vandalism. It didn’t take the officers long, since they knew his hang out, to locate him. Once the suspect saw the officers he knew that he was going to jail. He did not put up any resistance. The warrants were confirmed, and the suspect was booked. Report number 120488710

Police Services Aide Heckenberg-Tognozzi prepared an annoying phone call report. The victim told the PSA that since January she has been getting calls from someone who waits for her to answer then says nothing and hangs up. The victim notified the phone company and was directed to file a report. Report number 120486877

6:25am       4900 blk Mission          Counterfeit Currency
Officers Howard and Pai were sent to investigate a person attempting to pass a fake $100 bill at a local supermarket. By the time that officers arrived the suspect had fled. The cashier told the officers that a male suspect was trying to pay for merchandise with the bill. Once the cahier checks with the bill detector pen she discovered it was a fake bill. The cashier asked the suspect where he got the bill, while she notified her supervisor. The suspect walked to the exit, then ran away leaving the fake currency behind.  The officers took the fake bill and booked it for evidence. As in all counterfeit cases the secret service was notified. Report number 120486645

Officer Araujo was dispatched to investigate a cell phone theft. The victim told the officer that she was on the bus holding her cell phone in her hand when she noticed a person walk up to her. The suspect grabbed the phone out of her hand then ran off the bus towards Sickles. The officer checked for witnesses and the suspect but came up empty. The victim was instructed to call her phone company and report the phone stolen for shut off. Report number 120470325

Officer Ng was patrolling when he was flagged down by a victim of an attack. The victim told the officer that a known suspect walked up to him and accused him of being a snitch and a coward. The victim told the officer that he did not know what the suspect was talking about and began to walk away when another suspect appeared. The two suspects surrounded the victim and began to push him as they challenged him to fight. The suspects then began to punch the victim while yelling something. The victim covered and tried to escape. The suspects then fled. Minor injuries were sustained by the victim who refused medical attention. Report number 120485493

Officer Araujo was dispatched to investigate a vandalism incident. The victim told the officer that a know suspect came to visit, but was not welcomed. The victim told the officer that the suspect tried to push open a window. The suspect and the victim tugged back and forth when the window broke from the pressure. The suspect then left. Report number 120486952

5:30pm       300 blk Bosworth          Robbery
Officer Gomez was dispatched to the scene of a robbery. The victim was located and told the officer that she was walking home from BART when she felt someone punching her in the back and pulling at her purse. The suspect noticed that the victim was holding her IPhone and grabbed it from her then began to run. The victim told the officer that she noticed a pickup truck race past her and after the suspect. A short time later the pickup came back and the two good Samaritans handed the victim her IPhone and drove away! The victim did not suffer any injuries and told the officer that if she sees the suspect again she can identify him. Report number 120488287

Officers Pedersen and Hauscarriague responded to a vandalism incident. When the officers arrived they saw five cars that had been victimized! The windows of all the cars had been broken. The officers located all the victims of the vehicles. This was a case of pure vandalism not theft. The officers searched for usable physical evidence but did not find any. The officers then canvassed the area to see if anyone had cameras that may have captured the unscrupulous vandals. That too was negative. The case was sent to Ingleside SIT. Report number 120489138

11:54pm     Bosworth/Brompton     Robbery
Officers Ferronato and Jones were sent to check on a woman that was bleeding on the ground. When the officers arrived the SFFD was already rendering medical aid to the victim. The caller came to the officers  and told them that as she was driving by she saw the victim in the street in near the curb. The caller stopped to render assistance and noticed the woman was bleeding from a head injury. She called 911! The officers responded to the General Hospital to interview the victim.
The victim told the officers that while walking home from BART she was crossing the street where there is very little lighting. The victim did notice a male suspect leaning on a car across the street from her. The victim said that all of the sudden the male appeared in front of her and demanded her purse, at the same time a second suspect came up from behind. The coward suspect hit the victim on the head and knocked her unconscious. The victim cannot recall anything else. The victim was admitted to the hospital with two fractures to the skull and is listed critical. The case has been assigned to CIU and is currently an open and ongoing investigation. Officers Tam and Suguitan     were patrolling the district when officer Tam saw a suspect he has dealt with in the past. The officer knew that this suspect was on felony probation and has a search condition because of that. The officers stopped the patrol car and detained the suspect. A probation search was being conducted simultaneously with a warrant check. While the search was still going on, dispatch advised the officers that there was a $15,000 solicitation warrant for the suspect. The suspect was arrested immediately and now gets to visit Orange County in southern California for his summer vacation! Report 120485750. This is the…         ****Best Arrest of the Day****

Officer Marino responded to a call of an auto boost that had occurred. The officer observed that the car had a broken front driver side window and the cover to the stereo had been damaged. The owner of the car advised officer Marino that the faceplate for the car’s license plate had been stolen. The officer conducted an evidentiary search for fingerprints but this yielded none. Officers Apodaca and Gabriel responded to a call regarding an attempted armed robbery at a business. When the officers arrived they made a searched for the suspect. The owner of the store advised that a male suspect had come into their store, picked an item off the shelf, placed it on the counter and then raised a gun in the owner’s face saying, “Give me all your money! Open the register!” The owner attempted to take the gun from the suspect but failed, he then dove quickly under the counter to protect himself from the armed suspect. The officers asked if there was anything taken and were told that nothing was missing. The officers canvassed the area for witnesses but could not locate any. The victims were not injured. Officers Jones, Baldovino, Gabriel and Ferronato responded a call of a gunshot victim. The officers spoke with a witness who worked nearby. The witness said that they saw the suspects running down the street. Officer Gabriel immediately began a search for the suspects, while Officer Ferronato located and spoke with the victim. The male victim told Officer Ferronato that he was waiting for the bus when two males approached him from behind. The victim heard the suspects say something that he couldn’t understand and then suddenly he heard a “pop”. The victim told the officers that the suspects ran off and he went to a local business to have them call the police. The Officers took photographs of the victim’s injuries and scene then collected evidence. the victim was transported to the hospital for medical attention with none life threatening injuries. Officer Gabriel and Apodaca responded to another call regarding a shooting. When they arrived they located a victim lying in the street bleeding. An ambulance was already responding.  The officers then began a grid search for evidence but could not locate any. Officer Gabriel spoke with two witnesses in the area who told him that they hadn’t seen or heard anything. Crime Scene Investigations responded and processed the scene, locating a bullet casing. The victim was transported to the hospital where he will be interviewed after he is treated. Report 120483613

A victim responded to Ingleside station and told Police Services Aide Flynn that she had received a call from a computer company asking her to verify her information for a computer purchase. She informed the company that she had not made any purchase and they advised her to report the incident to the police. Report 120486987

11:00am     500 blk Brazil               Fraud
Police Services Aide Heckenberg-Tognozzi prepared a fraud report. The victim advised the PSA that he had received a letter from his phone company saying that four cell phone lines had been added to his account. The victim called the company and explained that he had not added the lines nor authorized anyone to open any lines. The company canceled the account and advised the victim that he should file a police report. PSA Heckenberg-Tognozzi booked the letter into evidence at Ingleside Station. Report 120484257

Officers Antonian and Chan were sent to investigate a burglary case. The victim told the officers that her house had been broken into and property taken. The victim said that she left her house locked and secured and when she returned, the front door had been broken into. The officers took photos of the damage and booked them into evidence at Ingleside station. Because of a lack of physical evidence CSI was not notified. Report 120485982

Police Services Aide Zabarte prepared a fraud report for a victim that came to the station. The victim told the PSA that he had given known suspect money to purchase two pick-up trucks and deliver them to his home. When the victim attempted to contact the suspect to ascertain when the trucks would be delivered he got no answer. The victim provided the bill of sale as evidence, which was booked into evidence at Ingleside Station. Report 120484100

Officers Tam and Sugitan responded to investigate a fraud incident. The victims told the officers that they had given a male suspect money to purchase cars for them. The victims were given receipts of the sale but were unable to make contact with the suspect who sold them the cars. The officers responded to the suspects home and spoke with the landlord, who advised the officers that she had not seen or heard from the suspect in the past few days. Report 120481388

8:31pm       5200 blk Diamond        Shoplifting
Officer Benevidez responded to investigate a shoplifting incident. The security guard at the business told the officers that he watched the suspect removing items from the shelf and then conceal them in his shirt. The security guard followed the suspect out of the store, and then detained him for shoplifting. The police were then called. The security guard signed a Citizen’s Arrest for the suspect and the officers arrested him. A computer check showed that the suspect had a $5000 theft warrant for his arrest. Report 120486043

Officer Ferronato was dispatched to investigate a theft case. the victim told the officer that he parked and locked his car, but left his laptop inside the cab of  the vehicle while he got food close by. The victim was only gone a short time but when he returned to his car the rear driver side window had been broken and his property was missing. The victim told the officer that he knows that there are surveillance cameras in that area. The officer then responded to that business and requested a copy of the video. The video excerpt was handed to Ingleside SIT for investigation.  Report 120483180

10:24pm        Unit blk Castle Manor           Warrant
Officer Jones responded to a call regarding a noise complaint. When he arrived, he could hear loud music coming from an apartment. He met with a male who also lived in the building who claimed that he had already called the police about the noise earlier that day.  Officer Jones knocked on the door and a male answered.  The officer instructed him to turn off the music. Shortly after leaving the man’s apartment, the officer heard that the music had been turned back on.  The officer returned to the suspect’s apartment, arrested the man for disturbing the peace (continuing offense) and transported him to Ingleside Station for booking.  A computer check revealed that the man had an outstanding traffic warrant.  He was booked and transported to the County Jail. Officer Brown responded to a report of burglary. When he arrived, he spoke with the man who reported the burglary, who said he had seen a man standing outside of the garage. The suspect walked away but returned shortly after. The officer spoke to the owner of the garage, who said that the lock had been damaged. SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit was not notified due to the lack of physical evidence.  Report 120480540

7:30am          Unit blk Gorham                 Burglary
Officer Dilag responded to a call regarding a burglary. The resident had left his home secured and returned to find the garage door open, his vehicle missing and items missing from inside the home. The back wall of a bedroom was damaged and many rooms were ransacked. The car keys had been stolen from his son’s room, as well as his television. Officer Dilag took numerous photos of the damage which were then booked into evidence at Ingleside Station.  He searched the area for any fingerprint evidence to no avail.  Report 120482784

Officer Morrow responded to a call of an attempted burglary. A woman advised Officer Morrow that she had noticed damage to her garage door handle that had not been there the previous night. The handle had been damaged by what seemed to be a large gripping tool in a failed attempt to break into the garage. Officer Morrow took photographs of the damage which were booked into evidence at Ingleside Station.  There were no other signs of forced entry and the victim stated the suspect did not enter the home.  Report 120480926

Officer Marino responded to an auto boost.  The victim advised that he left his vehicle locked and secured. He returned to find that the front passenger window was smashed and numerous items missing. He was unable to provide any suspect or witness description. Report 120481350

10:59am            Unit blk Robinson            Att. Fraud
Officer Frisk was on patrol and responded to a call regarding an attempted fraud. The victim advised the officer that she had received a call from a man claiming to be her nephew.  He told her that he had been in an accident and needed to be bailed out of jail. The woman almost believed him until he told her that he had been in the car with a woman who was twelve months pregnant. At that point, she hung up and called her nephew to find out that he was not in an accident and the man who claimed to be her nephew was lying. There was no monetary loss.  Report 120478658

 A woman responded to Ingleside Station and told PSA Zabarte that she left her bike secured in the garage area of her home.  When she returned, she found the bike missing from her garage but found no sign of forced entry.   She claims that there was construction going on at the residence and that the door to the garage may have been left open.  Report 120481407

12:00pm              200 blk Delano                 Threats
A couple responded to Ingleside Station to report threats made against them. They told Officer Castillo that one of their roommates had becoming increasingly aggressive. One of the victims stated that the woman had confronted her and showed her a note that had threats written on it. Later the woman came into their living room and took photos of them eating. Officer Ocreto responded to a call of a possible burglary at an elementary school. He arrived and spoke with the janitor who said that a male approached the door to the cafeteria and began trying to ask her questions. The janitor advised that the male had been looking into numerous classroom windows, so she notified a teacher at the school. She later witnessed the same male and two other males in the computer lab room. When the three males noticed her, they began running down the hallway to exit the school.  There was no sign of forced entry into any of the rooms and no items appeared to be missing.  Report 120481899

5:00pm              100 blk San Ramon            Dog Bite
Officer Dilag responded to a report of a dog bite. The victim was walking down the street when a small dog ran up and bit him on his right arm. The owner of the dog advised that his animal was up to date on all vaccinations and provided the officer with the dog’s registration tags. Animal Care and Control was notified of the incident and a copy of the report was forwarded to the SFPD Dog Bite Unit. Arrests:

12:00am     4700 blk Mission          Assault with Knife
Officers Peregrina, Ferronato, Apodaca, Hermosura, Dominguez, Wilson and Rueca responded to an aggravated assault incident.  The victim of a stabbing in a nightclub told the officers that a suspect got mad when he was not allowed to bring outside alcohol into the club. The victim was the security guard. The victim told the officers that the suspect went back inside the club and began to push chairs over and yell at everyone. The victim attempted to escort the suspect out, but he became combative and pulled out a knife. The victim told the officers that the suspect began to swing the knife at him. The victim was able to take the suspect to the ground but that is when he received a cut to the ankle.
The suspect was still at the club and taken into custody when the officers arrived. The victim positively identified the suspect at the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital with none life threatening injuries. The suspect was booked for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Report number 120480302     

1:51pm       San Jose/ Liebig            Traffic Arrest
Officers Chew and Naval were on patrol when they came across a vehicle that was displaying false registration. The officers pulled the car over and identified the driver. The driver of the car told the officers that the tabs were given to him by a family member but would not say any more. The officers arrested the driver then issued citation and released him at the scene with a court date. The license plate was taken and booked as evidence. Report number 120478567

Officer Glynn from the Taraval Station was sent to investigate a robbery in the area of 41st Ave. the officer arrived and was told by the victims that they were robbed at Ellsworth and Alemany. The victims told the officer that his girlfriends’ car broke down at that location and he was called to come and get her.  Both victims began to get the valuables out of her car when a suspect appeared from the shadows and produced a gun. The suspect demanded all of their property. The victims gave the suspect everything out of fear they would be hurt. The suspect then fled. Report number 120477359

Officers Naval and Chew were sent to investigate a burglary incident. The victim told the officers that he left home to go to work and that when he returned he discovered that someone had gained entry to his home via a window.  The officers searched for physical evidence and found none. CSI was not notified. The loss was over $4000 in property including a gun. Report number 120478846

9:55am       100 blk Harvard           Robbery
Officers Chang and Park were sent to investigate a robbery case. The officers learned that the victim was at home when three suspects came in and took over the home. The suspects grabbed the victim by the neck almost making her pass out. The suspects then ransacked the home while the victim was forced to watch. The suspects fled the scene. Unfortunately for the suspects, they were seen by half the neighborhood that gave statements to the offices. This case is under investigation. Report number 120477882

Officers Trail and Peregoy were sent to investigate a burglary case. The victim told the officers that when he came home he discovered a hole cut through the window. The loss was electronics valued at over $1000. Report number 120479399

Police Services Aide Cato prepared a report regarding a threat incident. The victim came to Ingleside Station to report that a gang member had taken a stance that he deemed threatening. This report was for documentation in the event that the alleged gang member was to return to the place of employment. Report number 120479048

4:16pm       Mission/Appleton          Battery
Officers Bernard and Suguitan were sent to investigate a battery case. The victim told the officers that an unknown suspect had battered them on the bus. The suspect kicked the victim twice because their feet touched then slapped the victim as she got off the bus. Report number 120479004

Officers Chew and Naval were sent to investigate a fire report. The officers met with the victim who told them that he parked his scooter on the sidewalk and went into a business only to come out and find the scooter engulfed in flames. There were no suspects observed. The victim told the officers that the scooter had just been serviced. Report number 120478272

Officers Baldovino and Otaguro were sent to investigate a vandalism incident. the caller told officers that she was at home when she heard a loud crash and then voices laughing. The caller looked out her window and saw the suspects looking at the busted window and laughing. The caller said that the suspects started to walk away while laughing. Report number 120474678
