Officers Van Zandt and Zhao were dispatched to a report of a traffic collision
at the intersection of Geneva and Moscow Streets. Witnesses told the officers that
the driver of a 2015 Honda traveled through a red light and struck the side of
a 2018 BMW making a left turn from Geneva onto Moscow Street. The BMW driver
produced his license, insurance, and current registration. The Honda driver did
not provide proof of insurance. He also showed signs of intoxication. The
officers noticed he had watery eyes, pale face, and the strong odor of alcohol
on his breath. He was asked to perform several roadside sobriety tests and

12:31pm 200 Blk. Avalon Hot Prowl Burglary
A man
sitting in his first floor bedroom heard footsteps coming from upstairs. He got
up to listen more carefully and heard movement outside his bedroom door. He
told Ingleside Officers Mora and Fitzpatrick that he opened the door and saw a
man standing outside holding several items from the home. The startled suspect
dropped the items and ran away. The victim closed the door and called police.
Mora and Fitzpatrick, along with other Ingleside officers, searched the home
and found several rooms in disarray. They also found jewelry on the floor of
the first level. The officers determined the suspect broke a garage door window
to gain entry to the home and left the garage door unlocked so he could escape.
