Arrests:
3:46am 500 Blk. Arlington Resisting Arrest
Ingleside
Officers Trumpp and Salazar were dispatched to a report of a vehicle blocking
the streetcar tracks at San Jose and Rousseau Streets. When the officers
arrived on scene they saw the suspect, sitting his car, which was stuck on the
separated portion of the MUNI right-of-way. The suspect, seeing the officers,
suddenly got out of the car and ran away. Ingleside Officer Trumpp pursued the
suspect until he finally stopped running, and put his arms in the air, in the
500 block of Arlington. He told the officers that he decided to run because he
knew he would get in trouble for driving onto the MUNI tracks in his mother’s
car. He was cited at the scene for resisting arrest and released. His mom’s car
was towed to impound. Report number: 170695573
6:00am Foerster & Joost D.U.I
A man
called police concerned about a woman driver nearby. He told dispatch there was
a woman, sitting in a car, with the engine running, asleep. He said he tried
waking her up by tapping on the window, but she wouldn’t wake up. Ingleside Officer
Smith and Sgt. Lau responded and tried to wake up the woman with the same
result. They entered the vehicle, turned the ignition off, and removed the key.
Inside the car was an open 200ml bottle of tequila. The woman driver appeared
disoriented. She failed several roadside sobriety tests and was unable to use
the Preliminary Alcohol Screening device. She was taken to Mission Station
where another breath test was performed showing a blood alcohol level almost
twice the legal limit. The suspect requested an additional blood test, which
was also performed at Ingleside Station. She was taken to the County Jail and
booked for DUI. Report number: 170695749
