Arrests:

12:00noon  Geneva & Lisbon                   Firearm
A routine traffic stop turned into an arrest of a dangerous individual. It started when Ingleside Officers Trail and Hopkins were driving eastbound on Geneva when they noticed a red vehicle, traveling at high speed, with the driver blowing the horn and almost hitting an elderly woman in the crosswalk at Geneva and London. The officers made a quick U-turn, activated their emergency lights and siren, and pulled the vehicle over on Geneva between Paris and Lisbon Streets. Once stopped, the passenger door opened, and a male suspect suddenly exited and started running away eastbound on Geneva toward Madrid. Officer Trail began chasing the suspect as he ran south on Madrid, then reversed directions, and ran back toward Geneva. Before he reached the intersection, the suspect threw a red bandana, containing a heavy object, onto the ground. The suspect was eventually caught at Paris and Geneva by several Ingleside units. Officer Trail went and recovered the bandana and found that it was concealing a loaded pistol. The suspect, because of his criminal record, was not allowed to possess a firearm, was arrested and taken to Ingleside Station for booking. Report number: 170630858

Serious Incidents:

11:59pm     300 Blk. Edna                         Cultivating Marijuana
Ingleside Officers Kerlegan and Mullins were dispatched to a home after the property owner called police. The homeowner told the officers he went to the home with a contractor to begin a project. The tenant had moved out and left behind a large garbage bag full of marijuana. The downstairs had been turned into a grow room with lights, irrigation, and ventilation. The officers collected the items as evidence and is currently under investigation.  Report number: 170630541
