Arrests:

8:02am                        3300 blk Mission St                           Shoplifting
Store security notified police that a shoplifter had just left the premises with several items. Ingleside officers Felix and Glover found the suspect sitting at a bus stop, holding a garbage bag. Inside the bag was a strawberry shortcake, Dorito Chips, two bottles of beer, paper cups, Febreeze air freshener, paper plates, cooler bags, utensils, and garbage bags. The suspect was cited at the scene for theft and released. The stolen items were returned to the store. Report number: 170598494

1:08pm                      San Jose Ave/Monterey Blvd            Warrant Arrest
Ingleside officers Peralta and Smith were on routine patrol when they spotted an older Ford with a severely cracked windshield. The officers stopped the car and talked to the driver. She was unlicensed and she also had an outstanding arrest warrant out of San Mateo County for grand theft. The suspect was placed into custody and driven to Ingleside Station for booking. 9:45pm                      Russia Ave/Mission St                         Robbery
Ingleside officers Colclough and Stoffel were dispatched to a restaurant after a robbery victim called police. The victim told the officers he was robbed nearby of his backpack and wallet by five suspects. He said the suspects approached him while he was waiting to board the #29 Muni bus. They surrounded him and one of the suspects hit him with his fist before escaping. The victim was placed in the back of a patrol car while the officers scoured the surrounding neighborhood for the suspects. The officers found three men inside Crocker-Amazon Park that matched the victim’s description. They also recovered the victim’s backpack near a slide in the children’s playground. The victim positively identified one of the men as a suspect in the robbery and signed a citizen’s arrest form. The suspect was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for robbery.
