Arrests:10:50am 200 blk Theresa BurglaryDispatch sent Ingleside officer Morrow to investigate a home burglar alarm. When the officer arrived he quickly knew this was not a mistaken alarm. Out in front of the home was a parked Lexus with no front license plate. One door was open and a he saw a suspect sprinting away down Theresa toward Cayuga Street. Officer Morrow quickly called for assistance. The owner of the home was beckoning officer Morrow to enter his home but officer Morrow, for everyone’s safety, waited less than a minute until Ingleside officers Felix, Glover, Trujillo, Phillips, Thompson, Hornstein, Leung, and Kerlegan arrived on scene. Officers Morrow, Phillips, Trujillo, and Kerlegan entered the home and found several rooms ransacked with cash, jewelry, electronics, and other valuables missing, but no suspects. They also discovered a blue pry bar that was used to force open the front door and gain entrance to the home. The officers determined that other suspects exited the home through the backyard, damaging a fence, and forcing open the rear door of a home on the 200 block of Cotter. Ultimately, one suspect was found by officer Williams hiding under a stairway and arrested. Another suspect grabbed a ladder and climbed onto the roof of the same home. He was found and arrested by Sgt. Lau and Officers Tiffer and Zubko. The officers recovered several items stolen from the home on the suspects and inside the getaway car parked outside. They also recovered items stolen from a previous burglary of a home on the 100 block of University Street. The two suspects were transported to Ingleside Station and booked for burglary and possession of stolen property.
