Her pet dog had her phone number on its collar. The victim told the Good Samaritan to return the dog to her home which he did. The victim then received another call from the same person who said he found her gate and the front door to her home open and her front window smashed. The victim returned home and found several rooms ransacked with jewelry and cash missing. Other residents of the home were contacted and returned home to find the same circumstances in their part of the residence. The officers concluded the burglar entered the residence by smashing the front window and escaped out the front door. Report number: 170303481
