Vehicle
A citizen called police after viewing a red Chrysler
Sebring, which was closely following a white Ford van, colliding with a curb.
The driver of the Sebring got out of the car and got into the Ford van before
both walked away from their vehicles. Ingleside Officer Champlin and Sgt. Kumli
arrived and were able to detain the two suspects. The woman driver of the van
was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and had a record of stealing
cars. The ignition on the van was punched out and a computer check revealed the
van was stolen. She was booked at the county jail for possession of burglary
tools and vehicle theft. The other driver was released at the scene. Report

Schwerin Robbery
Two young teenagers, brothers and middle school students at
the same school, were waiting for their mother to arrive to pick them up after
school when they were approached by two suspects. One asked for the time on one
of the young men’s IPhone. The other asked for the time on the victim’s
brother’s IPad. When the young man took out the IPad, the suspects wrestled it
away from his grip and ran away. During the robbery one of the victim’s was
pushed to the ground. The mother and her two sons traveled to Ingleside Station
and reported the robbery to Ingleside Officer Siracusa. Report number:

Arleta Robbery
A woman walking home felt uneasy when she spotted a black
Nissan Sentra parked oddly at the corner. The woman kept walking as the Nissan
pulled up next to her on the street and one man exited the vehicle. She told
Ingleside Officers Hopkins, Cubas, and Salazar that the suspect ran up to her
and punched her in the right side of her face. She fell to the ground as the
suspect grabbed her purse and started violently pulling it from her grasp. He
then ran back to the Nissan which sped away northbound on Delta Street. Inside
her purse was a wallet, credit cards, and a cell phone. Report number:

Carver Attempted Robbery
A woman in Bernal Height’s Park was startled when she saw four
men running down the hill toward Bernal Heights Boulevard followed by a man
yelling, “Somebody call 911”. The woman witness called police and Ingleside Officers
Alioto, Wise, Hoge, and Beltran arrived soon thereafter. The officers
interviewed the man who told them he and a friend were in the park taking
pictures with a professional camera. Four men approached them and one of the
suspects asked if they were photographers. The victims quickly realized they
were in trouble. One of the suspects pepper sprayed the victims and he ran for
help running down the hill followed by the four suspects. Both victims refused
