Arrests:3:45pm 200 Blk. Oneida Battery of a Police OfficerIngleside Officers Kikuchi and Williams were dispatched to investigate a young woman in distress. Witnesses said the woman had swallowed a large amount of pills. When the officers arrived they found medical help already on scene. The woman attempted to flee but the officers were able to keep her calm so that medical personnel could evaluate and treat her. However, her brother showed up and attacked Officer Williams and the paramedic with his fists in an attempt to free his sister. He was quickly subdued and placed under arrest for battery. Report number: 170113638Serious Incidents:2:29pm Schwerin & Garrison RobberyA woman waiting for the bus had her purse taken from her. The victim told Ingleside Officers Williams and Johnson that she was at the bus stop, playing on her cell phone, when a dark colored sedan, with three occupants, stopped in the middle of the street. A man exited the car and ran up behind her and pushed her to the ground. The suspect yelled, “Give me your purse”, as the victim struggled to retain control. The suspect was able to take control of the purse and then fled to a waiting sedan which sped away. The loss was cash, credit cards, and house keys. The victim declined medical attention. Report number: 1701133215:45pm Geneva & Lisbon Attempted RobberyAnother woman was the victim of a violent purse snatch attempt. She walked into Ingleside Station and told Officers Shih and Dito that a short time before she was walking eastbound on Geneva near Lisbon when she felt someone grab her purse from behind. The victim turned to look at the suspect who immediately started hitting the victim on her head with his fists. The victim said she was struck approximately 15 times and fell to the ground, but was still able to hold on to her purse. As the struggle for the purse continued, the victim screamed “stop” several times. Finally the suspect fled when a car drove by on Geneva Avenue. The victim declined medical attention. Report number: 1701145176:20pm Geneva & Carter Robbery w/forceA third woman lost her possessions to a robber while on her way home. The victim told Ingleside Sgt. Hoang and Officer Alioto that she noticed a man following her after she exited the #8 Muni bus at Geneva and Carter. When the suspect said, “it’s muddy out”, she felt scared and picked up her pace towards her home. However, before she could get to the safety of her residence, the suspect grabbed her backpack from behind and pulled her violently to the ground where she hit her head. The suspect then punched the victim in the face several times while swearing at her. Then he tried to grab her cell phone but the victim fought to keep it in her possession. The suspect finally overpowered her and took her phone before escaping on foot toward the Cow Palace. The victim then walked home and called police. She declined medical attention.
